How many hours of vhs can you put on DVD?
Depends on the compression technique you use.
Some video editing software, like Nero, allows you to change the quality to fit a DVD.
Good quality, I would suggest no more than 2 hours. But it is possible to compress it to about 8 hours, (for surveillance video).
Is the film Karu Suda the Heart of the Bear out on DVD or VHS?

How do you record just the sound off a DVD?
Most DVD recorders have Audio and video output sockets on the back.
Use the Left and Right audio out and connect to a recorder.
These days most people will want the audio stored digitally.
You can use a patch lead that combines the two RCA connector to a single stereo 3.5mm jack plug, use the jack plug in the mic socket of your computer and record using windows recorder or equivalent.
You can also buy dedicated MP3 recorders that accept analogue inputs, or use a capture card or dongle.

Can a blu-ray players play DVD and CDs?
The answer is of course, YES. Blu-ray burners, on standard, are backward compatible to DVD and CD formats, unless some manufacturer purposely made them not able to, which I don't see the point why. The only difference between various Blu-ray burners, is the speed that they can write to these formats.
I have a DIGISTOR external Blu-Ray burner on my system, and it writes to all formats, albeit on different speeds. all the speeds are pretty fast on my drive though. Hope that helps.
What is the remote code for a Polaroid DHX-202?
I called Polaroid and they said they don't HAVE universal codes (But plan to do so some time in the future).
I was given a DHX-202 from a friend (who didn't have the remote) when he got a new DVD player.
Polaroid offered to SELL me a remote for $19.95 (plus shipping I assume). But when the going price for a new (BASIC) DVD player is aroun d $30 ... I refuse to pay two thirds of that for just a remote.
If you're like me ... you'll be watching eBay, and craigslist. There is a company on eBay selling NEW remotes for the DHX-202 but its nearly $40 ... more than the DVD is worth!
Is there a DVD which can hold more than 4.72GB?
Yes. Dual-layer and double-side discs can hold almost up to four times the amount a single layer on a single side can, up to a total of about 15-16 GB of data. This data must be split between the layers/sides, though.
Can you connect a DVD player with coax audio output to a audio video receiver with only rca inputs?
Coax and RCA are usually two different names for exactly the same thing. Phono being another name for the same thing. If it really is two different connectors, a simple adapter from Radio Shack (USA) or Maplin (UK) would connect them.
When will all the Simpsons seasons come to blu-ray?
Never. The physical DVD & Blu-ray sets were discontinued after Season 17 so they won't be re-releasing the earlier seasons or seasons 18 onward on blu-ray.
If both have component inputs/outputs of the same type, i.e., RCA connectors consisting of yellow (video) audio (red, right / white left) then it'll work. Can't guarantee the video quality though. It may have color smearing or video smearing and possibly ghosting of the image. For short runs (3 feet or less) it should provide for an acceptable picture.
It is possible to use audio cables for runs up to 20 feet, but the same caveats apply.
Best thing to do is try it and see.
