Increases the total resistance
Only a DC motor uses direct current, and the reason is that it is the only supply available.
There are also plenty of AC motors used when there is an AC supply.
DC tends to be used for low-power devices like fans in electronic equipment.
Type your answer here... Generally its a non-enginered angle in a piping weld joint occurring in the axial run of pipe.
What are some uses of a programmable logic controller?
A programmable logic controller (PLC) is basically a microprocessor (digital computer) that is used to control machines or electromechanical devices, or to automate industrial or manufacturing processes.
In that case, the magnetic field caused by the current would also be reversed. As for the wire itself, it would feel a force in the opposite direction, due to the interaction of the magnetic fields.
Live load is the external load coming on the structure. It is also called as Imposed load.
What is standalone application?
It means that it is by itself - as opposed to being bundled with other applications for example.
What effect does energy have on a resistor?
One way to look at the purpose of a resistor is as a device built to dissipate
electrical energy. Some (but usually not all) of the energy of the current through
a circuit is always dissipated when it flows through a resistor. The energy lost
leaves the resistor in the form of heat.
The number of joules of electrical energy lost and heat dissipated by the resistor is
(amperes of current through the resistor)2 x (ohms of resistance) x (seconds of time it continues)
If you work with resistors often, or see several of them inside an old radio, you notice
that there are physically big ones and physically small ones. The size of the resistor
isn't related to the number of ohms of resistance it has. The physical size is related
to how fast it can dissipate energy (heat) without melting or burning up. A bigger
resistor has more air around it, so it can get rid of heat faster.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of a series circuit?
The main advantage to wiring a circuit with multiple accessories and access points into a series is that one main switch can control them all. This can allow a single circuit breaker, fuse, or the operator to disable them all in one step.
Difference between bjt and ujt?
UJT is the voltage controlled device.in which only one mejority carriers are responsible for current flowing. UJT is one junction transistor and it is three terminal emitter and two base.
BJT is the current controlled device. in which both mejority and minority carrier are responsiblefor current flowing. this type of transistor consists of two junction and three terminal these are : emitter , base , collector.
How do you wire 2 subwoofers to a mono amplifier?
You can find that answer at Crutchfields.com under support
Why common collector amplifier current gain is equal to beta?
Actually the current gain is equal to Beta+1, not Beta. The current from/into the emitter is the sum of the current into/from the collector and base. Of course this assumes linear operation.
For a proof: Ie + Ib + Ic = 0
Ic = Beta * Ib
Ie + Ib + Beta * Ib = 0
Ie + (Beta + 1) * Ib = 0
Ie = -(Beta + 1) * Ib
Why does the total circuit decrease when more devices are added to a parallel circuit?
This is a direct consequence of Ohms Law.
Since each new resistor connected in parallel will allow more current to flow, the resistance of the circuit must be lower. R = E/I. Since I (current) has increased, and the voltage E is still the same, it follows that R (resistance) must be smaller.
That's the way Ohms Law works.
Draw the logic circuit for a haly adder using nand gates only?

How do resistance behave in parallel circuit?
in a parallel circuit resistance decreases increasing the current.
What is better 16 ohms speakers or 8 ohms speakers?
It depends on the application. If you have an amp that is stable in 8 ohms per channel, then 8 ohm speakers will work best. However, if you wanted multiple speakers on that channel you could use two 16 ohm speakers.
What are the three wires called on a transistor?
Most transistors have three leads. This is true even in power transistors which use the external case or housing to connect to the collector, because the circuit which uses the power transistor must still use three wires to connect to it.
What lasts longer a series circuit or a parallel curcuit?
They will both last for the same amount of time. In both situations all of the battery's power is being used, but in parallel, you can separately control the individual loads that you put on the circuit with switches.
Hope that helps
How do design a high voltage voltmeter?
Use a voltage divider and an standard high input impedance voltmeter connected to the low voltage output tap of the divider. Just check that:
a) the voltage divider has enough resistance to minimize loading of the voltage source (The voltage divider resistance should be as high as possible).
b) the voltmeter's input impedance is at least 10-20 times larger than the output resistance (impedance) of the divider. If necessary add a high-input impedance amplifier or a transducer between the divider output and the voltmeter.
What is high voltage for you?
During a storm, when winds of greater than 100 kph up to 185 kph may be expected in at least 18 hours. it is storm signal number 3
Is mosfet voltage controlled capacitor or inductor?
It's a Field Effect Transistor. I personally wouldn't consider it either of those options; if I had to pick one, it's more inductor-like (in that it has impedance).
IGBT first of all is a hybrid device meaning the combination of two devices; the BJT and the MOSFET.
Depending on the application, one can never say an IGBT is better than others.
Typically, an IGBT is ideal for high powered, high voltage and high frequency applications
