Joseph Addison Summary of his essay Ladies head dress?

Oh, dude, Joseph Addison talks about those fancy head dresses that were all the rage back in the day. He basically says they were like, super extravagant and ridiculous, but also kind of cool in a weird way, you know? He's just like, "Hey, ladies, maybe tone it down a notch with the giant feathers and stuff." It's like a historical fashion roast, but with a touch of class.

A essay on why shouldn't i talk in class?

Talking during class distracts other and shows no respect towards the teacher. A class is about 40 minutes long, when one student talks the teacher has to stop teaching and punish the student. This takes time from the lesson. Because the student was talking now everyone has to wait and they will not be learning. Therefore, it doesn't affect the one who was talking but also everyone else in the class.

When someone starts talking they don't understand what they are causing themselves. Students that talk usually get points off. Their grades drop, also they are likely to fail most tests and quizzes. They won't understand the homework or may not know they even had homework. In addition, they may not have all their notes so won't be able to study for tests. Furthermore, they might get dentition which will lower their chances in going to the college they want, also can get a call home to their parents. Students that talk should understand that the teacher is only trying to help them and wants them to pass the class.

Students that talk are disrespecting teachers and other student that may want to learn. Teachers have all ready finish school and want their students to finish as well. Teachers have gone to college to learn how to teach a class. They should have respect and attention from all students. When a student talks it shows the teacher that they don't care about the lesson, for that reason the teacher may not listen to the student when they need something. Additionally, the teachers may not have enough time to finish teaching the rest of the class because of the punishment of the student talking. The rest of the class has gone to school to learn something that day and may not because of the consequences of the one student that was talking.

In conclusion, I will like to say that students shouldn't talk in class because it is shows that they think they are more important than others. In the end it doesn't only hurt them but others too. Another reason why students shouldn't talk in class is because the whole class may have to write an essay on "why I shouldn't talk during class".

What is the Difference between narrative and expository writing?

Narrative writing tells a story and typically includes characters, settings, and a plot with a clear beginning, middle, and end. It often uses descriptive language and dialogue to engage the reader. Expository writing, on the other hand, aims to inform or explain a topic in a clear and concise manner, presenting facts, evidence, and logical reasoning. It does not typically include a storyline or characters, focusing instead on presenting information in a structured and organized way.

What is the message of on a pencil by Lydia arguilla?

Oh, dude, "On a Pencil" by Lydia Arguilla is all about... well, pencils. It's like a deep dive into the profound existence of a simple writing tool. The message? Probably something along the lines of appreciating the little things in life, or maybe it's just a poetic ode to graphite. Who knows, man, it's a pencil poem.

This is what I could come up with off the top of my head:

Translation:

There are five members of my family. There is my father, my mother, my brother, my sister, and I. My brother is named Paco, and my sister is named Elena. My father uses glasses, and my mother has black hair. Paco is 15 years old, and it is his chore to wash the plates. Elena is 5 years old, and she does not have to do anything. My parents almost always cook the food, but sometimes we eat at a restaurant. My parents are tall, but I am short.

Very good! NB, though, that 'my' is 'mi(s)' without an accent. With an accent 'mi' = 'me'.

What does developing an essay involve?

Developing an essay Idea involves which of the following?

Who is the author of the quote 'be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid'?

This is often incorrectly attributed to Goethe... but it's actually Canadian author and pastor Basil King, when he was speaking about overcoming fear.

In the film "Almost Famous" Cameron Crowe misquotes this as Goethe which contributed to the confusion. Goethe 's closest quote was "Boldness has genius, power and magic in it."

In "Almost Famous", it is William Miller's mother, played by Frances McDormand, who attributes the quote to Goethe. Miller's character is based on Crowe, who worked for Rolling Stone as a teenager.

That's one way, perhaps not the best way. Okay, not the best way. Here's the thing; like most students, you are probably looking at writing this essay as an alien activity. It isn't. The only potentially alien part of this essay is writing it in another language. But, even that isn't so alien.

Take a short walk with me here, and we'll see if we can't get you through this.

First, the essay part--we'll get to the in French part of it in a moment. You write essays every day. No, don't debate it, you do; you just don't realize that you do. You have talked to others about your favorite sport, perhaps almost daily. Each time you do this, it is an essay, or at least part of an essay. While you are not writing it on paper, you are writing it on air. The medium in which it exists is the only difference (other than some minor format or style vagaries).

So, we are getting to the in French part. There are a couple ways you can do this. One is sort of backward, but it will work. It will require a bit more work, but it should be effective. That way is to write the essay in English, and translate it a sentence at a time. This breaks it down into bite-sized pieces. Just write the whole essay before you translate it. The second way sort of addresses the whole point learning another language. Write the essay in French. Only, do yourself a favor, tell it in French first. That's write, tell someone the story of your favorite sport in French. Whether or not you actually have someone you can tell the story to, record it. Go old school and tell your story into a cassette recorder (there is probably one available in your school library). Once you have the tape, transcribe it to paper. Once you have it on paper, you can edit it as you need to.

What you need to do here is change your perspective regarding the task ahead of you. Look at it for what it is, telling someone about something that is important to you. Do that and you will find just how much easier it gets to do.

What is the summary of this essay of revenge by Francis Bacon?

Of Revenge

Revenge is a kind of wild justice; which the more man's nature runs to, the more ought law to weed it out. For as for the first wrong, it doth but offend the law; but the revenge of that wrong, putteth the law out of office. Certainly, in taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy; but in passing it over, he is superior; for it is a prince's part to pardon. And Solomon, I am sure, saith, It is the glory of a man, to pass by an offence. That which is past is gone, and irrevocable; and wise men have enough to do, with things present and to come; therefore they do but trifle with themselves, that labor in past matters. There is no man doth a wrong, for the wrong's sake; but thereby to purchase himself profit, or pleasure, or honor, or the like. Therefore why should I be angry with a man, for loving himself better than me? And if any man should do wrong, merely out of ill-nature, why, yet it is but like the thorn or briar, which prick and scratch, because they can do no other. The most tolerable sort of revenge, is for those wrongs which there is no law to remedy; but then let a man take heed, the revenge be such as there is no law to punish; else a man's enemy is still before hand, and it is two for one. Some, when they take revenge, are desirous, the party should know, whence it cometh. This is the more generous. For the delight seemeth to be, not so much in doing the hurt, as in making the party repent. But base and crafty cowards, are like the arrow that flieth in the dark. Cosmus, duke of Florence, had a desperate saying against perfidious or neglecting friends, as if those wrongs were unpardonable; You shall read (saith he) that we are commanded to forgive our enemies; but you never read, that we are commanded to forgive our friends. But yet the spirit of Job was in a better tune: Shall we (saith he) take good at God's hands, and not be content to take evil also? And so of friends in a proportion. This is certain, that a man that studieth revenge, keeps his own wounds green, which otherwise would heal, and do well. Public revenges are for the most part fortunate; as that for the death of Caesar; for the death of Pertinax; for the death of Henry the Third of France; and many more. But in private revenges, it is not so. Nay rather, vindictive persons live the life of witches; who, as they are mischievous, so end they infortunate

Is engineering and science for people who are good at math but terrible essay writers?

Engineering and science curricula are not designed for any particular kind of student

with any particular set of skills, talents, or abilities. They are designed to impart a

certain body of science and engineering knowledge to students who are motivated

to learn it.

I believe that any student so motivated can successfully complete one of those curricula,

although it's true that the attempt to do so while trying to hold back some dedication

could do a job on that motivation.

I also believe that, at least until well into middle age, there's no such thing as

what you're good or bad at, only what you're interested in or not.

That's my opinion. I could be wrong.
