Why do you see bugs while awake?

They are known as benign "eye floaters".

In response to above:

I have the same problem but its definitely not "eye floaters." They are very real looking. Most of the time they look like tiny tan centipedes almost larva sized but they move too fast to be larva. I see them on the floor and I have to get up close to them or shut my eyes for a minute for them to go away but usually they try to scurry under things. If I keep my eyes open and watch them go under things, when I lift up what ever they went under they are gone. Its so scary that its developing into a phobia for bugs.

Before this started happening I didn't like bugs but they didn't scare me now these experiences are so traumatic that I freak out when i see ones that are there and ones that aren't there. I almost cant take seeing bugs now.

I have been looking online and some other answers seem to be drug abuse from uppers but I don't do drugs. My grandmother had Alzheimer's/dementia but I am only 21.

It doesn't happen too often and usually only when I am awake for too long but it has happened when I wasn't awake that long too so I am very confused.

If anyone else knows what's going on I would really like to know!

What does it mean when you look at a stag and see your newly deceased father's eyes?

u probably either had a reaction to meds, making u hallucinate. or u just have a vivid imagination From Derwydd:

Without background information, this question's answer will be somewhat diffuse.

Initial assumption: This happened in the material world, not a dream or vision.

Assuming you loved and were close to your father:

If you were hunting, then it was a sign not to kill this particular stag.

If you were enjoying the forest but were not hunting, then it was a message to pay attention to your loving connections to the natural world, including people, because it is paying attention to you with similar grace.

If you and he were parted with unresolved issues, then this was a message that you need not feel guilty; he lives in grace and beauty and so should you.

Assuming you did not have a close, loving relationship with your father:

It is a message to live with more grace and gentleness because your current path has hidden dangers.

What does a doctor sees in eye in normal eye check up?

First they will check your vision, if you need correction based on that test they do a refraction (the machine with all the lenses where they ask you "better 1, or better 2?". After they get your glasses rx, if needed, they will check your intraocular pressure using either a tonopen, applanation or non-menthol contact applanation (the air puff), but they will put a numbing drop in your eye so you won't feel anything. Next they dilate your eye (make your pupil big) and then check the back of your eye (retina, optic nerve, macula, blood vessels). A lot depends on age and health, but those are the basic things they look for in an regular eye exam.

Are floaters in the eye dangerous?

Not in themselves, but:If the floaters you see in your eye are the insignificant ones that have been there, to one degree or another for your whole life, they likely present no danger. Though annoying, the vast majority of floaters are harmless, and there are ways to prevent them through proper diet.

If, however, new floaters suddenly appear marked by bright light spots or streaks and dark moving specks, this could be a sign of retinal detachment, which can cause permanent blindness if not treated immediately. An immediate visit to an ophthalmologist is recommended. If this condition has been ruled out by your doctor try this natural cure i have heard great reviews from it eyefloaterscure.siterubix.com

Will the 'black floaters' in your eye go away on their own?

If you have 'black floaters' in your eyes, you should see an eye specialist immediately for a full exam. As we age, the vitreous humor, a normally transparent, jelly-like substance that fills our eyeballs, can begin detaching from the retina. When this happens, you may see flashes of light or floating threads and spots in your vision. This may signal a retinal tear or detachment that needs treating ASAP.Once retinal detachment has been ruled out by a doctor, rest assured that floaters are perfectly normal and benign. If you find them annoying, you'll be pleased to know that with time, you will learn to ignore them. However, if they are particularily numerous, or visually debilitating, some patients may opt for a surgical procedure called a vitrectomy. In a vitrectomy, the vitreous humour is sucked out of the eye and replaced with a saline solution. Within a few hours, the body's natural aqueous replaces the saline solution.

Vitrectomy to treat floaters is a highly successful procedure that may be offered by a vitreous retina surgeon if they feel it's right for you. Common side-effects include retinal detachment, cataract, and rarely infection. Fortunately, the potential complications of vitrectomy are highly treatable. You should only consider vitrectomy surgery if you've had bothersome floaters for more than two years, your eyes are otherwise healthy, and you have no history of major eye problems in your family.

Why do the aged see floaters before their eyes how can this be prevented?

The back of the eye is filled with a jelly-like fluid called vitreous. When it breaks down with age, clumps of it can be seen floating around. There is no way to prevent this, but if there are large "floaters", or flashes with the floaters, an optometrist should be seen.
