How much labor per square foot should you charge for vct tile flooring commercial?

In the Chicagoland area the trade standard Side Job (cash) price for vct install is $1/sqft. Strictly for a sand, scrape, sweep, glue, and install. No skim coat or floor patching, those are extra. Does not include any pricing for the tile or glue. Considering this is in a commercial setting and for the most part the areas are larger, we usually complete 800-1000sqft install per man-day. (8 hrs minus break and lunch). Obviously if the job itself was small or it was many small areas the price goes up significantly. I could easily see the total per ft price for Skim coat and exp joint patch, sand, scrape, sweep, install and vinyl base... material included approaching $7.50-10 per sqft. Hope that helps! -Joe

What happens if you used sanded grout instead of tile mortar?

Using sanded grout instead of tile mortar can lead to several issues. Sanded grout is designed for filling joints between tiles rather than adhering tiles to a substrate, which can result in poor bond strength and instability of the tiles. This may cause tiles to crack, shift, or come loose over time. It's essential to use the appropriate materials for their intended purposes to ensure a durable and long-lasting installation.

How do you get the gold as flooring on Club Penguin?

How many 12x12 tiles will you need to cover 220 sq ft?

In theory, 220. However, If you find the exact center of the room, and work from there out (since you line up your tile from center, not from an edge), then you may find that you need a little extra at the edges, especially if you are tiling a pattern into the floor.

To find the exact center of your room, and to mark your starting grid lines, measure each wall at the bottom from one corner to the next, and mark the exact halfway point. If you have a closet or other feature protruding into the room from the corner, measure as if it weren't there. Then mark two lines on the floor, one running the length of the room, and one running the width of the room. In theory, if you have measured your room accurately, then these two lines will be perfectly 90 degrees perpendicular to each other. This is where you start laying your tile. If these lines aren't 90 degrees, then you may have measured incorrectly.

If you have tile that is 18 in by 18 in and you need to cover 600 hundres sq ft how many tiles would i need?

18 in = 1.5 ft

(18 in)2 = (1.5ft)2

2.25 sq. ft. per tile

600 / 2.25 = 266 + 2/3

I do not know the shape of the 600 sq ft, so I would recommend buying a little extra, say 270-300 tiles.

What is the average price per square foot for stripping wax from a wood floor?

That depends on where you are, Here in California, S.F., It cost $4.25 per sq. ft. to refinish a wood floor. And being that it has a wax finish, it can cost more because the floor contractor might have to use extra steps to get that wax finish off. That is my profession, and wax is one floor I hate to refinish. Like I said before, it depends on where you are.

How many 20x20 tiles will it take to cover 165 sq ft?

12 X 12 = 144 inches = 1 Square Foot of tile

165 X 144 = 23760

20 X 20 = 400

23760 / 400 = 60 tiles

How many square feet do 40 12 x 12 tiles cover?

If it's 12"x12", each one is a square foot, meaning they'd cover 40 square feet.

But if it's 12'x12', each one is a ridiculous 144 square feet, which would mean they'd cover 5760 square feet.

Units of measurement are important.

How many square feet is a tile that measure 16.25 x 16.25?

16.25 X 16.25 = 264.0625 Square inches per tile.

There are 144 square inches in a square foot (12 X 12 = 144 sq. inches).

Therefore if we divide 264.0625 by 144 we should get our answer.

264.0625 divided by 144 = 1.8337673611111111 square feet.

If you are figuring how many tiles you will need for a tile job, I would suggest rounding up a bit because you always need more than the actual square footage of the room due to odd angles and cuts you will need to make. There will be some waste involved unfortunately so you will need to plan for that.

Hope that helps!
