The safety of the ice on the side of the freezer is dependant on the cleanliness of the freezer. If the water was drinkable before it was frozen and there was nothing in the freezer to contaminate it then it is technically safe to eat. However, the process of freezing will not kill any germs, only put them in stasis. So if the water was undrinkable before it was frozen then it will be undrinkable after being frozen.

the cause of dry mouth could be a couple different things. One if you have alot of fillings then that could cause dry mouth so gum will help but not take it away. Also if you are dehydrated you could have dry mouth. Drink plenty of water and that could help with the dry mouth. Hope this helps.

You should store dry food in a cool dry place. You should also store it in an airtight container. It is better if this contained ir hard plastic so rodents can't chew through to get to the food.
