My dad witnessed to a man, and when he mentioned the Bible and Christ, the man's eyes went cold and the room's temperature dropped, and so did the man's tone of voice. Also, he no longer wanted to talk to him, as demons had control over him, because his severe addiction to drugs had opened him up to demons.

No one is for sure if they do or don't move on, but i can tell you this of my knowledge; Every spirit that has died moves on to the gate. and of course there are different religions so I'm not going to bring up religion. Spirits sometimes ask their creator if they are allowed to stay bound to a love one and promise never to do anything to harm that person. Then they stay on earth and watch over that person, like their own guardian angle until that love one passes on. This is as much as i can give you. I hoped it helped a little.
