it depends on what your looking for if your looking for a high performance card it could be anywhere from $200 to $1000 but if you are just a general computer user you could probably get a 128m 256m card for under 100 dollars but stll have good performance

Probably because Ge-force 5500 FX is the retailers mark. Graphics cards (like most computer components) are mass-produced - then marketed under different brand names. Essentially - if two graphics cards have the same specifications - but different names - you can almost guarantee they've been made by the same manufacturer !

Does this have to do with minecraft by any chance? Because I have the same problem and I have no Idea how to solve it. I'v updated my video card drivers, downloaded things from the internet and all sorts of stuff but it wont work. I hope you find an answer and Ill keep looking

No you must have a Nvidia Graphics card/mother board / or cpu...

Onboard graphics (also known as integrated graphics) typically have lower end specifications than a separate GPU. A discrete GPU has more processing power since it doesn't clog up the CPU and main RAM and generally has more advanced functions (e.g. my current computer uses a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator and cannot play newer games which require Pixel Shader and Vertex Shader since those functions are not supported). Hence, if you have a choice between the two, take the one with a separate GPU.

Are you trying to disable onboard video so you can install a pci video card? If so you have to disable onboard video in your computers bios. Then install your video card in an empty pci slot. Then install the drivers for your pci card in windows.

Well my friend, I did some research and found out that they are pretty close to a tie. This is because in some ways the radeon is better and in other ways it's not. In one big way that the 280 is better than the radeon is that the 280 has exactly ywice the memory as the radeon but it's your choice. I most likely get the radeon. Sadly you cannot. If yoou use it correctly, GLSL is so realistic that if you don't have a top notch graphics card, it wont even come close to working. Sorry i couldn't be of more help.

You can do it with Sony or samsung I'm not sure about any other ones
