Does any one have any information about frank wright an English greyhound trainer for monmore green?

Yes, he's one of the best greyhound trainers in the country. I would only trust 3 or 4 trainers in the whole of the UK to get the best out of a dog and Frank is one of them.

I worked for frank many years ago, he and his wife work very hard to make sure the dogs are very well cared for. I have a lot of respect for him and his team. Its not an easy job.

Race track for greyhounds is how long?

Greyhound tracks in the United States are uniformly a quarter of a mile in circumverance.

The most common race distance is 5/16 mile. This starts down in a chute that extends beyond the start of the home stretch.

The next most common distance is 3/8 (6/16th) of a mile. This starts near the far turn on the backstretch.

Other common distances are 7/16th and 3/16th, both of which start near the head of the backstretch.

Rarely, a 9/16 distance race is run, sometimes known as a "Super Marathon". It begins in the same place as the 5/16 race does, and the greyhounds make two full circuits.

The answer is likely no. Florida is not a 'right to work' state, so employers can easily restrict their hiring practices. A felony record is easy to check and gambling establishments (like the tracks) have very strict security concerns. You may never know without asking someone in the personnel office at the track or consulting an attorney specializing in employment law.

Why should greyhound racing continue?

Sure, why not? It's not the racing itself that is a problem in most cases, it's the way the dogs are treated by their trainers and owners.

Greyhounds love running. They enjoy it. Many racetracks treat their dogs really well and the dogs are happy.

Of course, a controversial aspect of greyhound racing is the danger of such races. Yes, they can hurt themselves but it's similar to an extreme human sport. But dogs hurt themselves all the time playing too.

What do greyhound dogs eat?

I have a greyhound, and for breakfast she has mostly our food! You can buy greyhound cereal, but I recommend just normal cereal, because my Greyhound Trust did that, and so do I. She loves it and she has never had any problems with it. The cereal that we give her is either Weetabix or Cornflakes. Please don't add any sugar because that may be bad for them. You can also give them toast! But not too much because they may get the runs. (You know what I mean?!?!) And for dinner we give her Kibble, (Buy from any store) Add some hot water then allow to cool so it's not too hot. We add water because kibble is quite dry without water. For a little flavour, sometimes we put in some chicken or something!! She gobbles this up straight away! By the way, if you are just going to give them kibble and water, then your usual kibble runs out, don't go changing the brands just like that because it upsets their stomach and they get the runs... We don't want that, do we? So, when you are starting to run out, buy some different brand of kibble, so you have as little of the old, and a box of the new. Then put in the last of the old and a bit of the new. Slowly give them the new then that won't affect their health. Hope this helped! ( :
