What ever happened to the Saran Quick covers Large and Extra large don't see any at all are great to use made by Johnson?

Saran, a Canadian company I think, discontinued the Quick Covers a number of years ago. People wrote the company and I believe were told the product was discontinued because it was not a good seller. I think it wasn't a good seller for a couple of reasons: 1. It's a good product. Too good, maybe. They were washable and reusable, so those who did purchase and use them, recycled instead of immediately purchasing additional boxes. 2. The company did not market this product as well as they could have, in my opinion. I remember seeing commercials for them and wondering who the heck would need to save half a watermelon. They didn't allow enough time for this item to really catch on before they discontinued it. Quick Covers were not cheap, either. And using them to cover leftovers seemed really wasteful. But what I (and many others) found when purchasing a sampler box is how wonderful they really are, especially for items that are repeatedly uncovered/recovered, such as holiday goodie trays, snacks, picnic foods, etc. They worked great for leftovers, too. I rarely used plastic wrap or foil because of Quick Covers. I also used them as covers for my small kitchen appliances, rarely used china, and even starting seedlings. A few copycat products are available, but none are the quality and ease of use that Quick Covers were. I have yet to see any extra large by any maker. This was my favorite size, perfect for large trays of goodies, party food, etc.

Well, honey, Aldi does accept TeleCheck for payment, but not all locations may offer this service. So, if you're planning to bounce a check, you might want to think twice before hitting up Aldi. Just keep it real and make sure your funds are in check before you go on a shopping spree.

Is that a real grocery store in guys grocery games?

Well, honey, of course that's a real grocery store on "Guy's Grocery Games." Do you think they just whipped up a fake one for the show? That would be like serving a TV dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Trust me, those contestants are navigating those aisles like it's Black Friday at Walmart.

What was the cost of groceries in 1941?

In 1941, the cost of groceries varied significantly depending on location, type of food, and availability. Generally speaking, the average cost of groceries for a family of four in the United States was around $10 to $15 per week. However, this amount could fluctuate due to factors such as inflation, wartime rationing, and economic conditions during that time period.

Does Nabisco's still make cheese tid-bits crackers?

Got this answer from a channel 4 NBC news article: "For your answer we contacted Nabisco, the company that makes Cheese Tidbits. And it says, unfortunately, the reason you cannot find them in your local grocery store is because Nabisco discontinued the product at the end of 2002. It wouldn't say why because of proprietary reasons, but it does still make "Cheese Nips", which is widely available."

I just found some little crackers that reminded me of the Tid-Bits I used to eat. They are called Macaroni and Cheese Crackers by Kraft. I got them at Walgreens and they are exactly the same as the Tid-bits (shape and taste) except they don't come in a box, and they are not made by Nabisco.

Also for unknown reasons, companies always discontinue tried and true products that people love and enjoy all in the name of progress. But in reality, when something is correct and working properly - don't change it.
