Unfortunitaly the writers decided that someone had to go. They wanted to show how real the show is, they talked about it and it was either him or Grey cause they are the ones w/out family and in the end they decided to go w HammerHead. In the extras on the DVD (which is were i get this info from) they say when they told the actor he didnt hesitate he relised was best for the show and just did it (much like HammerHead would have done)
