Harry S. Truman, US President from 1945 to 1953, died of multiple organ failures after being admitted to the hospital with lung congestion due to pneumonia.

When he died in December of 1972 at 88.6 years of age, he was the 3rd-longest-lived US President, after John Adams and Herbert Hoover, the first two Presidents to pass the age of 90. He has since dropped to 7th place, having been passed by Ronald Reagan on September 25, 1999, Gerald Ford on March 2, 2002, George H. W. Bush on January 29, 2013, and Jimmy Carter on May 20, 2013.

The story says he fathered a daughter before he married, but in the days without DNA, who knows for sure?

The significance of Truman's decision not to ask Congress for a declaration of war in Korea led to accusation from Congress. Congress accused the president of usurping the powers of the legislative branch. He justified his actions stating the UN had requested aid for the Republic of Korea to find off attacks.

yes the tension escalate between the two superpower because each one of them were trying to be the unnogiate able power.

Harry S. Truman was a Colonel in the U.S. Army during World War two but never saw combat in WW2. He did see combat in World War 1 though

North Korea had no atomic bombs at the time of the Korean War. What Truman was concerned about was the Soviet atomic bombs and the high probability that Stalin would respond to our use of atomic bombs in that conflict by declaring full scale nuclear war on the US.
