The nearest thing to a "natural deodoriser" is not to bath and to live that way till your skin microbes settle down. That works surprisingly well for many people, but it is not suitable for most urban needs. It is cheap though, as long as it does not interfere with your social success.

ANYTHING else you do is artificial by definition, even just washing with soap.

Washing should PRECEDE EVERY kind of deodorisation; the idea is to get rid of all your smelly stuff before you proceed to prevent new smells from developing. It is no good just trying to cover up the dirt, naturally or otherwise!

There are several basic types of artificial deodoriser:

Washing: Is that what you meant by "natural"? If it works for you and your skin can take it, washing with soap or other detergents is good, but you may have to do it several times a day. It isn't enough for most adults though, especially if they do sweaty work.

Scents and other stuff that drowns out the smell: These simply are ways of staying dirty and smelling of scent plus dirt. Often herbal scents. Not natural anyway.

Stopping the smell from spreading: Another kind of "natural" that isn't really natural is to treat the strategic areas with a substance (available as SOME BRANDS of "cream", or more "naturally" with an alum "crystal", which works very effectively if applied suitably and is which not (repeat NOT, and I don't have shares in the stuff!) toxic on one's healthy skin, no matter what people say). These are some of the best deodorants, as long as you start daily with well-washed skin. May not be enough for marathons or sweaty heavy work in hot climates.

Finally there is disinfection: If Lysol works for you it is OK. It is not at all dangerous if you don't drink it or get it in your eyes or let children or pets get at it. It should be applied to strategic areas after washing. IF it works for you it does so by killing bacteria in the sweat pores. One's own personal body odour is not really your own, but the product of bacteria rotting sweat, dead skin cells and so on. The trouble is that not many antiseptics and disinfectants are effective in stopping this process. One used to be able to get Hexachlorophene preparations (such as a product called Phisohex), that worked amazingly well for years, but it was discovered to be poisonous, especially to small children, and as far as I know it is now unavailable to the public in first-world countries.

And as I said, natural deodorants aren't natural, so don't enrich people who tell you that they are natural in order to get your money.

The Lice does not spread because of sex. It is NOT a sexually transmitted infection as such.

Since lice like to attach their eggs to hairs and your nose has hair in it, yes - you CAN get lice in your nose. Can you say GROSS?!? From a practical standpoint, it is unlikely since there are so many other easily accessible sites (at least for the lice) with more hair than the inside of your nose.

I have never heard of anyone getting lice from camping. Lice are transfered from one person to another. It is possible to get lice from another camper just as it is to get them from a schoolmate.

Necessary items are olive oil, vinegar, lice spray for couches and chairs, extra sheets, fine toothed lice comb and magnifying glass. The best way to handle a lice problem is to first wash all bedding and dry them hot, take all toys wash and dry on hot, if they are not washable put them into a plastic bag for three weeks. Spray couches and chairs with a good lice spray then cover couch and chairs with clean sheets to avoid re-infestation.

Then it is time to tackle the hair. Cove hair with olive oil, wrap it in a shower cap or other oil resistant material and leave it on at least three hours, over night is better if possible. Lice have become immune to many chemical but they still suffocate In the olive oil which stuns them on contact. After the allotted time, wash hair in your regular shampoo twice, rinse in solution of 50/50 water and vinegar. While hair is still wet, comb through with nit comb. Repeat every three days for two weeks.

If this seems like a real bother, remember that a) you are not contributing to the chemical immunity of the lice, b) you are not exposing your child to harmful chemicals, and c) you are no exposing yourself to harmful chemicals.

Side note here, I had a massive allergic reaction to lice shampoo over twenty years ago when the kids brought home head lice off of the church bus. I am still disabled; I was once an electrician in the steel mills, and now I am a gimpy old lady with permanent lung problems..

Headlice can be cured with shampoo so load up on that but the environment she's in also have to be cleaned up if it's around her as well. Talk to her parents. Going back to the where the lice are will only make her get them again. if the parents wont hear about it you can always call her school and tell the principal because I don't think he wants that ion the school either. it might work oif he tells the parents.

Yes. Head lice can be transferred by sharing any type of hat or helmet or sharing a comb or hairbrush or even standing anywhere near someone who has been infected. It's also very hard to get rid of. You should see a specialist.

Wow, I'm sorry. I had lice once and it was hard to get rid of them. The problem is that they're getting stronger and more resistant to the medicated shampoo. I'm assuming you've tried the shampoo already. I have a client, (I'm a cosmetologist) that said she finally just colored her hair and that got rid of them. You can be 100% sure you got them if you just shaved your head, but that's a pretty drastic answer.

Well first and foremost they like neither. Lice are focused on your head not where you lay it. They like clean heads though.

The hair doesn't itch at all. It's the scalp that itches and it can itch 2 weeks after treatment. But always check everyday after treatment to ensure all the nits and the bugs are gone and dead and best to use mayo for 8 hours to ensure easy removal of nits cause of the vinegar in the mayo. The shampoo kills most lice but not all of them.

A dead louse will just fall out of your hair as soon as you wash it, because it doesn't attach itself. Although, if you don't do anything about dead nits, they will sty in your hair forever, because they actually stick themselves. You can remove them pretty easily with a nit comb, or even a regular comb. Try removing dead lice with a hairbrush, or just washing your hair.
