Sort of. First it takes a lot of disassembly to get to where the cooling element has to go, then the freon is a restricted substance which the average guy isn't supposed to have access to.

unless there is something wrong with your car, the cooling fans are activated when a sensor in the cooling system detects that the coolant is too hot and that is when the fans turn on to help bring airflow to the radiator or just to circulate hot air away from the engine. if the coolant is still hot when your car turns on, then the fan will stay on as well.

Also, if the AC is in the on position both the fans will run.

1997 VW Jetta GL's dont have them... There is an air intake but no compartment for a filter. Sad but true.

Its always best to cycle the a/c compressor on and off several times in any weather condition so that the small amount of oil will travel around the system but there is a small chance of locking the compressor up as well if its not done............

The water pump moves the coolant around the system so the heat can be transferred inside.

Look for bleeder valve about 1 1/2 inches tall somewhere usually front corner of engine when facing it, open small valve on top & bleed with engine at normal oper temp - usually need to open & bleed & repeat process to bleed

When air conditioning or front defroster are turned on it will turn on A/C compressor which requires the A/C condensor to be cooled (via radiator fan).

Not sure what you really mean but if temp of heat does not change = likely bad thermostat etc. If gauge does not work at all but heat is fine then gauge or electrical type problem to the gauge

what are we talking about therma gasket? or thermostat gasket and for what veh or unit?,.what is your concern a llittle more info please

first of all let me state that if your coolant was not mixed according with your state climate we'll that's how your rad froze there are only two things you can do,..1st thing is to run hot water on top of your rad ,..2nd is to stall block heater to your engine and 3rd id to mix your coolant accordingly so it won't freeze again

Possible that coolant is leaking into combustion chamber and burning off. Does engine act like its missing at idle and smooths out at higher rpms? possible head gasket. I had the same problem i used steelseal.com worth its weight in gold.

You have to heat the windscreen in order to make the water dissolve into the air again.

When the screen gets too cold, the air directly around it inside the car will also be cooled. The maximum degree of humidity of air depends on its temperature, and the cooler it gets, the less water it is able to contain. Therefore water that can not dissolve in the air will condensate - on your screen. Heat it up and it will dissolve again.
