Why did Hitler try to get everyone to hate the Jews?

Actually, Hitler hated all races except for the German race because he only wanted Germans on this Earth because they followed him and he thought with their help, he could rule the world. But in the end, it turned out that Hitler was Jewish, and that meant that he killed many of his race.

Also, he hated Jews because of his creative ambitions being rejected by the Jews and so forth. In political power he wanted peer blood without the Jewish faith or ethnicity (example of ethnic- Ashkenazic Jews). He wanted a total Aryan race he called it. The Jews were different, had it been any other faith it is still easy to presume he would have hated them just the same for his own gain.

As well as that, Jews are often a community inside a community which can make them easy targets for pointing the finger at when it came to politics even if the accusations are far-fetched.

When Germany began to lose world war 2 what was the fate of the concentration camps and their prisoners?

The concentration camp slaughter accelerated at an apalling rate, trying to exterminate "undesirables" even if the Germans lost. BTW, not only were 6 million Jews killed, but 11 million Christians, Gypsies, and others that Germany determined were "undesirable" and not "Arian". It is reported that the ovens were still hot when the Allies found the concentration camps. The prisoners were freed, and many eventually found their way to Israel, the US, Latin America, and England. Very few returned to their birth country.

Why didn't the world execute josef mengele as fast as possible why did we let him escape?

In the chaos surrounding the collapse of the Third Reich, Josef Mengele - the infamous doctor who performed inhumane experiments on Jewish inmates at several concentration camps - and many other Nazis managed to escape. We only really single out Mengele because he was of importance in the Nazi Regime.

Other prominent Nazis, including Martin Bormann (Hitler's secretary and 'yes man') and Arthur Axmann (Leader of the Hitler Youth) escaped from Berlin after Hitler committed suicide. The reason they escaped is because the Russians were still attacking areas that they believed were still important to the Nazis, like the Reichstag, instead of the Fuhrerbunker, thereby allowing many Nazis to flee Germany.

Also, it was put forth in Ladislas Farago's book Aftermath: Martin Bormann and the Fourth Reich that all nations of the world were interested in bringing fleeing Nazis to justice after the Second World War, but didn't want to put forth the resources to track them down.

If all you're concerned about is justice, Josef Mengele got what he deserved on February 7th, 1979, when he drowned, swimming in the sea in Paraguay, Brazil.

What happened to the first Slovak Jews when they got to Auschwitz?

On April 29th 1942, the first of the Slovak Jews arrived at Auschwitz. They were taken to the two gas chambers and murdered. Their bodies were buried in giant pits. This was the start of the mass murders with which Auschwitz is associated - the deliberate and planned murder of, in this case, Slovak Jews.

Are the Jews target of hatred?

Examples of antipathy to Jews and Judaism during ancient times are abundant. Statements exhibiting prejudice towards Jews and their religion can be found in the works of many pagan Greek and Roman writers who concidered the political and religious order backward and unenlightened.

During the Middle Ages in Europe there was persecution against Jews in many places, with blood libels, expulsions, forced conversions and massacres. The persecution hit its first peak during the Crusades and spanish inquisition. The main cause of this was religious with both the protestant and catholic factions calling for the removal or killing of Jews.

Even in early 1900's Leo Frank was lynched in America and Henry ford dissemenated anti semitic ideas in his newspaper. FDR was even accused of heading a Jewish cabal to take over American financial institutions.

The fact that 6 million Jews were killed in World War II by the Nazis has more than anything else has caused the reputation of Jews as targets of hatred and rightly so, shortly after world war 2 ended Jews returning to homes in Europe and especially Poland were viciously attacked and pogroms erupted. In the soviet union 2 million Jews were being held prisoner and when allowed to finally leave after violent protests and boycotts in the United states 10000 Jews a month were escaping en masse to israel. also after thethe night of the conception of the Jewish state in 1948 as per the UN resolution 181. the evening the Jewish state came into being israel was invaded by Egypt,

Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia,Yemen, Holy War Army, Arab Liberation Army whose stated purpose was to push the Jews into the sea and wipe it off the face of the world. The Arab israeli continues to this day after several wars and Muslim terrorism of isreali population. President of Iran ahmedinejad has threatened to wipe Israel off the map and called it a cancerous sore. Also rising anti-semetism in Europe and Africa has troubled and astounded many, the modern day academics are also very anti semitic and have repeatedly called for boycotts of israel, despite israel being the center of many advances in science and medecine.

Anti semetism has become so widespread and accepted comedian Tom Lehrer even included mentioning it in his satirical song "national brotherhood week"

"Oh the Protestants hate the Catholics,

and the Catholics hate the Protestants,

and the Hindus hate the Moslems

and everybody hates the Jews."

A report from the U.S. State Department from March 14 2008 detailed "an upsurge" across the world of antisemitism -- hostility and discrimination toward Jewish people.

What was tattooed on each Jews left arm?

It was not on the arm of each Jew. It was not even a thing reserved for Jews. It was also not always on the arm. It was a thing specific to Auschwitz. Each 'permanent' inmate there would have their number tattooed, Auschwitz was in operation for about a year before Jews were taken there. (Permanent meaning that they did not have a release date specified).

What effects did the persecution have upon the Jews?

Most of the Jews of Europe died. Those who survived were very angry (understandably) and resolved to never allow themselves be treated that way again; the state of Israel was founded in 1948 as a refuge against anti-Semitism, on the motto "never again". To a large extent, the Holocaust is the defining event in the history of the Jewish people. It influences everything that Jews think or do.
