They got independence from a fampus man named Mahandhma Gandi,one of the greatest leaders in the world.I know this because I am an Indian.

Actually, it's a little more complex. Indians fought for Britain in WWII because of a vague promise of independence in return. When they didn't receive their independence immediately, they were prepared to rebel, but Britain was exhausted and not prepared or financed to hold down an Indian revolt because of WWII bombings and recovery, so Britain surrendered and gave India the independence it was requesting. Mahatma Gandhi played a large part in uniting India against British imperialism, but was not the sole reason by any means for success.

They lived in Wisconsin and upstate New york. Some live in Ontario, Canada.

India is a huge country and people eat different dishes in different areas.

Many Indians are vegetarians and eat no meat. Many Indians are meat eaters and enjoy a range of foods that have meat in them. Indians who are practicing Hindus or Sikhs do not eat beef as the cow is sacred, many people will not eat pork.

Indian cuisine is famous for its use of spices and Indian cuisine is one of the most praised in the world. It is quite common for dishes to have chilies in them and they are very hot. Not all Indian food is hot, though and some dishes are creamy and sweet. It does vary from area to area.

Rice is a common feature of Indian food. Indians also have a wide range of flour based breads, some having a raising agent, like yeast, in them while many are flat breads.

India is an country which is rich in biodiversity from north to south and from east to west. In India you will find all short of atmospher. If you can find thar desert then you can also find the place of largest rain thats mayusiram. You can find extreme cold at himalayas and mordanate temp. in Mumbai. On August 29, 1947, the Drafting Committee was appointed, with Dr. B R Ambedkar as the Chairman along with Acharya Kriplani, Pandit Nehru, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, Maulana Azad, Sardar Patel and Dr Rajendra Prasad and many others as members. A Draft Constitution was prepared by the committee and submitted to the Constituent Assembly on November 4, 1947. The Assembly met, in sessions open to public, for 166 days, spread over a period of 2 years, 11 months and 18 days before adopting the Constitution. After many deliberations and some modifications, the 308 members of the Assembly signed two hand-written copies of the document (one each in Hindi and English) on the January 24, 1950. Two days later, the Constitution of India became the law of all the Indian land.
