step up transformer
Abnormal means NOT NORMAL i.e. the combustion which is going on with insufficient air flow producing major quantity of unburnt fuel with carbon mono oxide in the flue gases .
Explain why dams on deep lakes should be thicker at the bottom than near the top?
Water pressure increases with depth. So in a deep lake the bottom of the damn needs to be thicker to accommodate the greater water pressure.
What will happen if i connect a power supply of higher current rating to lower current load?
The supply won't have to work as hard. It is perfectly acceptable, for example, to use a 1A, 12v supply to supply a 12v, .5A load. The current rating indicates the ability of the supply to dissipate heat caused by the current flowing. If the load current is above the power supply current rating, the power supply will overheat.
In the 5G position for welding pipe the pipe must?
The pipe must be fixed (not rolled) in the horizontal position. With the pipe horizontal, the weld is vertical. The pipe being fixed requires the welder to weld flat (top), vertical (sides), and overhead (bottom). The pipe must be fixed (not rolled) in the horizontal position. Comparration diameter size of suction and discharge?
The diameter of the discharge line leaving the ac compressor would be smaller than the suction line, because the compressed gas in the discharge line is more dense.
That depends on the type of software, but I use C++.
How was graphite used in 1564 if graphite wasn't discovered until 1889?
most likely its discovery wasn't documented until 1889
What value for a transformer determines the amount of voltage that is stepped up or down?
For an ideal transformer, the voltage ratio is exactly the same as its turns ratio. So if, for example, there are twice as many turns on the secondary winding as there are on the primary winding, then the secondary voltage will be twice that of the primary and the transformer will be a 'step up' type.
In metalworking, rolling is a metal forming process in which metal stock is passed through a pair of rolls. Rolling is classified according to the temperature of the metal rolled. If the temperature of the metal is above its recrystallization temperature, then the process is termed as hot rolling. If the temperature of the metal is below its recrystallization temperature, the process is termed as cold rolling. In terms of usage, hot rolling processes more tonnage than any other manufacturing process and cold rolling processes the most tonnage out of all cold working processes
What are the Disadvantages of Brickbat Coba?
1. Brickbat coba will have lot of surface cracks and hence it is not a waterproofing system. 2. The quality of bricks used in BBC is usually of not a good quality hence over a period of time they absorb water and become loose and give way to more leakages. 3. Brick bat coba should not be confused for waterproofing. It is a good wheather proof layer.
There really is no standard color for this. Most that I have seen use the Black as the positive (+) and the white as negative (-) but I have also seen it the other way around. Just follow the convention of the plant or customer where you are working.
Where can you find a chart showing in detail the melting points of all metals?
A very good periodic table. See the Web Links to the left of this answer for a periodic table with melting and boiling points, and other tables with the melting and boiling points of the elements. Go to this awesome site: HTTP://WWW.MATWEB.COM and find most any comercially-available material (all metals, plastics & ceramics). You can sort by property, which makes it easy to find the best material for your application.
What is the purpose of installation BTU Meter in chill water cooling system?
It is nowadays used in Malls , shopping Complexes as a purpose for thermometric billing ,It measures the Quantum of Heat that is Used by the respective shop getting Chilled water supply to its AHU/FCU from a Centrally placed Water Chilling Unit (CHiller) which the owner of building has placed.
It is like an electricity Consumption meter In this case measuring Heat in BTU

What is the status of Agro based industries in India?
Agro-based industry would mean any activity involved in cultivation, under controlled conditions of agricultural and horticultural crops, including floriculture and cultivation of vegetables and post-harvest operation on all fruits and vegetables. The development of agro-industries has assumed crucial importance in the economic planning and progress of the country. This paper highlights the development proposals of agro-based industries during the tenth five year plan. This study also points out that Andhra Pradesh occupied the first place with 10,183 processed food industry units and the least place was occupied by Meghalaya with only 3 units in the year 2002-03. However, there are extreme variations among different states in the number of processed food industries. It is also evident from this study that except potatoes, all the other perishable products have been showing inadequate number of cold storage plants and low capacity utilization of the existing units. This study suggests that there is a need to develop the processed food industries throughout the country in order to provide more employment opportunities and to reduce the regional imbalances.
How has CAD affected the design industry?
It allows designers to create designs in a few hours that would have taken days to draw by hand. Some CAD programs can test 3D models to see if they run properly so that a real working model becomes unnecessary.
