How was the Gibson Les Paul invented?
It wasn't invented in any year. It has evolved for centuries. Les Paul is a pioneer in the development of the solid-body electric guitar which "made the sound of rock and roll possible."
"Guitar-shaped instruments appear in stone bas-relief sculptures of the Hittites in northern Syria and Asia Minor from as far back as 1350 B.C. The word "guitar" also has origins in the Middle and Far East, deriving from "guit," the Arabic word for four and "tar," the Sanskrit word for string."
Is a epiphone Les Paul 100 better that a epiphone Les Paul standard?
the studio, it has better electronics and hardware
What is the value of a 1959 les paul jr?
There are too many variables to answer that realistically. But, you can take photos of it and the serial number and post them in the Gibson Forums you'll get you a ball park figure.
Value of antonius stradiuarius cremonenfis faciebat anno 17 made in Germany worth?
Said label was applied to thousands of cheap violins in a bid to convince some amateur musicians or would be musicians that they were buying a quality instrument. Unfortunately, you instrument is likely to be worth just pennies. All the genuine Strads have verifiable histories of ownership so the chances of anyone discovering another genuine violin made by Stradivarius is zero.
What year is a fender musicmaster bass with serial number 626400 and how much is it worth?
This is a 1961 or '62 Korean-made guitar. Not knowing all the component parts, materials and colors and condition , there is no way for us to value this properly. Please go to a vintage instrument dealer for a professional valuation.
How much is a Lowrey H25-3 Organ 1972 Worth?
In excellent cosmetic and working condition, a Lowrey Genie 98 would be worth about $50 - $125 in today's market (November 2013). If it's near mint and comes with a bench, you could potentially make as much or more, assuming you can find a buyer. The Genie series organs are a consumer or -home-market organ, made to be inexpensive in the first place, and not particularly sought after today. For every Genie I've seen sell, I've seen plenty more shuffled off to the local Goodwill or, worse, curbside pickup.
Is a crescent guitar any good?
This guitar is too inexpensive for beginners. The quality of the guitar is low, and it makes it hard to play (often discouraging beginner guitarists). They go off-tune easily; a daily tuning is necessary.
But if your questionable about if you are going to stick with this new hobby, this is the brand for you! They are low-priced, so if you decide to end your guitaring career your wallet won't feel the pain. If you are dedicated, a new different brand is essential (e.g. Epiphone, Huntington, Jasmine, etc.)
Where can you buy an acoustic guitar?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Superviser here.
Respectfully, be carefull when considering a used guitar on the net. You could be buying someone elses headache and returning it can be difficult or impossible. I recomend buying from a large online site like Music123 or Musiciansfriend. You'll get real service with these guys. There are just too many places online selling inferior products. I prefer to buy only after I play in a real shop. This gives you what you want and it keeps the shop open when you need strings...

What is the value of a Baldwin orga-sonic 54 and 55 series organ?
Possibly the best top dollar figure (mint condition - with everything working, no case scratches, and having the original owners manual, too) would be around $500 depending on the particular demand and availability in your region. However, asking price is one thing ... what one will get is completely a different story.
What happened to the vester guitar manufacturer?
Apparantly the name was too similar to Fender (?) so Fender went to take them to court but Vester's pockets weren't deep enough to take on the big boys and they folded out of existence without going to court.
How much is a tama 5 piece silverstar drum set used cost?

What is the better brand Jackson guitars or ibanez guitars?
Jackson guitars are usually high-quality. On the other hand, Epiphone is to Gibson what Squire is to Fender. That means that Epiphone is the lower quality, less desirable subdivision of Gibson. Gibson created the brand Epiphone to sell cheaply-made guitars. You will pay far more for an Epiphone than it's really worth simply because it's "authorized by Gibson". When you get a Jackson, you are actually getting a quality guitar. You get your money's worth out of a Jackson, whereas with an Epiphone you're paying a lot extra just because it's a part of Gibson. With Jackson, you get much more for your money. If you're trying to choose between the two, I would most definitely tell you to get a Jackson. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Jackson guitars are now made by fender. Which to my knowledge qualifies them as a subdivision. But I totally think Jacksons are better. But when you realy think about it, it's all a matter of opinion. Jackson guitars are awesome for metal, and they normally sound good, when you play them through an amp with decent distortion. But Epiphones are made for music more along the lines of what gibsons are made for, which is less heavy, and less distortion. I play an epiphone flying V, and it plays awesome. They are less expensive, but In my opinion they're just as good as gibsons. Jackson guitars don't' really come cheap either.

GIBSON DID NOT 'CREATE' EPIPHONE TO SELL CHEAPLY MADE GUITARS, EPIPHONE WAS ACQUIRED BY GIBSON IN 1957...EPIPHONE GUITARS, VIOLINS AND LUTES HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR 130 YEARS......AND YOUR RIGHT....JACKSON GUITARS ARE VERY NICE...BUT THEY ARE MADE FOR HEAVIER MUSIC....EPIPHONES ARE MADE FOR BLUES, ROCK, COUNTRY AND RECORDING....JACKSON, WELL, ONLY HEAVY METAL....ANYONE CAN POST ANYTHING THEY WANT ON THE INTERNET....JUST DO A LITTLE RESEARCH FIRST
WHOEVER WROTE THE FIRST POST UP TOP REALLY HAS NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON...OR HAS NEVER PLAYED AN EPIPHONE BEFORE
THIS IS A LIST OF ARTIST WHO PLAY/PLAYED EPIPHONES
I HIGHLY DOUBT JACKSON CAN LAY CLAIM TO SUCH A LARGE AND DIVERSE GROUP OF MUSICIANS.....note, THE BEATLES ALL PLAYED EPIPHONES, BOB MARLEY, ZAKK WYLDE, JOAN OSRBOURNE, OUR LADY PEACE, JANES ADDICTION, LYNARD SKYNARD, WILLY NELSON AND MARILYN MANSON.....THESE ARE ALL PEOPLE THAT COULD HAVE AFFORDED ANYTHING THEY WANTED....INCLUDING GIBSON,BUT PLAYED EPIPHONES, GIBSON DOESNT MAKE EPIPHONE, THEY OWN THEM
FENDER MAKES SQUIER, AND MAKE THEM POORLY.....AND IN MY EXPERIENCE DON'T HOLD A CANDLE TO EPIPHONE.

The first problem here is the question - You cannot compare Jackson and Epiphone today as you may have years ago -Epiphone is now a part of Gibson and the previous poster just did not read far enough into the history on the Epiphone page. Gibson does sell its budget versions of its higher end guitars under the Epiphone name. They do also sell as far as I know original Epiphone models, new models and such. I am not saying they are not good quality or anything of that nature - read on.
Basically all the manufacturers these days have lower lines, mid lines, and top end stuff. Fender obvioulsy has the squire line and top end Fender USA stuff - Unless something has changed if it is not a Fender USA it is manufactured in Mexico. That means production line and not hand made.
Jackson is no different they have the lower end, mid and of course USA made - Again the lower to mid range are manufactured on production lines much different than what we got back in the days of the custom Charvel and Jackson stuff.
If you want the top end of any of the manufacturers your looking at a min of $1000 or so for those currently on the shelf and its been a while but probably closer to $3000 for custom and top end stuff.
If you are looking at the lower dollar stuff which is still good stuff - I personally have been playing for 25 years and have played lots of models from all the manufactures listed above. They all have great guitars in the various price points.
In my opinion previous posters should put a little more thought to what they recommend and try to help rather than pushing or trying to validate a brand. I really don't care who plays a guitar or how many people play a brand. The best thing a new player can do is sit down at a decent music store and play as many guitars as you can - Can you say guitar center - Play some jacksons, Fenders, Gibsons, Ibanez and so on - and decide what you like best about the feel and sound of the guitar - It might be wize to research specific brands and model classses to know where the pricing levels are and what to expect from those levels. I would set a budget then define what models to look at from each brand at that price point.
Dbow
Jackson. Always Jackson. Some people think if its not name brand or a division of name brand like, epiphone to Gibson, it is worthless piece of crap. they are wrong. Jackson's have a tremolo unlike epiphnones or Gibsons. the Jackson is the best because of the Floyd rose tremolo and locking system.
One More Thing,
While I can uphold most of what has been said in this post, A bad Epi is still a Gibson. Better yet, this is mostly all opinion of the posters and you really do need to PLAY a guitar. I own an Epi Les Paul and a Jackson Dinky, I love both for different reasons. Action, sound, size and weight. A Jackson is always going to be lighter han just about ANY Gibson or Epi, good thing to know if you're gonn play on stage or just extended jamming sessions. But most of all congrats for wanting to get a kller axe and join the ranks of the metal nation!

What is a reasonable price for a Lowrey Legacy organ?
As a former Lowrey salesman, and the owner of Majesty, I can tell you not much based on the original selling price. One has to understand that organs in general are the worst investment there is bar none! The best one can hope for is about 15 cents on the dollar...and that would be a organ that is only several years old.
Most domestic organ manufacturers got out of the business in the early 80's. Lowrey was the only one left, and they are in difficulty these days. They were bought out by Kawi Pianos a couple of years ago, and their sales continue to drop due to the waning interest in home organs.
As to the current value of a Majesty today...the real world value would be about 2500-$3,000. One can ask any price they want, but on E Bay the ones that sell are in the range quoted as of 11/2010. I've seen listings as high as $19,900 but they don't get one offer. Someone will think because the organ cost 50-$80,000 new that 25% of the original price is a great deal, but it isn't. They think hope patsy will come along and pay their price, but it will never happen!
One last thought as to the value of any used organ...some will go to the original store where the organ was purchased new and ask it's value. They will be given a inflated value so they don't make a scene in the store and scare other potential customers away...so be warned.
What is generally good about Epiphone guitars?
Well, for one there super cheap. Secondly, they tend to play about as good as a Gibson, compairing the Standard Gibson with the Epiphone, and thirdly, they sound good with pretty much any amp, they can be used for almost any type of music, and are quite a bit lighter, weight wise, than a gibson. From a personal standpoint, I have a couple guitars, and one of them is the Epiphone Les Paul Special II, Another is the Dean Vendetta Camo, I play them on a Line6 spider III, and the Epiphone has more tone for metal, the epiphone has more tone for solos, the epiphone sounds better on the clean channel, (but only when play rythm) and it looks alot better than the Dean, now I know there are some differences between the two, but I do preffer the Epiphone over the Dean, however to be fair, I will say this, the Dean has a MUCH faster neck than the Epiphone, and the Dean's all (even the cheapest, most crapy playing) have 24 fretts to Epiphone's (all that I know of) 22 frets. I am going to turn the Dean guitar in for Epiphone Standard Les Paul, but first I will change the pickups in the epiphone for Gibsons, just for Giggles. And I'll update when I do.
What is the value of a total tone deluxe wurlitzer organ model 575?
Wurlitzers like any of the now obsolete brands, you should pay no more than 100.00-200.00 for the spinets(12-13 pedals) and around 300.00 for the consoles(18-25 pedals). These prices are only appropriate if the organ is in good working condition.

How much is a 1978 alvarez yari model dy-88 worth?
From what i have seen online, the DY-85 usually sell from around $600-800 usd, depending on the condition,if in mint condition can be as much as $1000. They are not that easy to find, and somewhat sought after due to the fine workmanship(handmade by K.Yairi), and they are duplicates of a Martin D-45. I have played various Martin D-45s and can honestly say,my DY-85 sounds just as good if not better. I lucked out and found mine in a dusty pawn shop in Mississippi for like $125, however i cherish it and would never sell it, most people that own them feel the same way.
