You can't get around immigration law that way. Any lawyer will tell you that, and you may face charges yourself. That person has to go back, re-apply for immigration, and you may sponsor them by providing a home and or a job. Sponsored persons are more likely to get allowed in more quickly.

You may not feel that now but when you get older you will respect them more for what they have tried to protect you from that you can't see. Be thankful that you can be on the computer at all!!!!!!Sometimes as a young person we are and can be tempted to do things that can get us in trouble that we don't necesssary plan!! Be thankful you have parents that are giving you boundaries because alot of parents let children do whatever they want to do and they will pay for it later!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you are adopted you are their child and they will pay for you and care for you without any state interfering, just as if they birthed you.

A fosterchild is being paid for by state and it's their responsibility you have a good family. they are the ones deciding what will happen to you. At 18 you are on your own.

If your parents only agree that you will be a fosterchild, it means if they are suitable they can have you back. If adopted it is permanent.

What does adoptive family mean?

After adopting a child, the family that adopted is known as the child's "adoptive family." This term is usually only used to describe the legal relationship- it is not commonly used in a social setting.

The biological parents of that child are generally referred to as the "birthparents," and any members of either birthparent's family as "birthfamily."

Can someone return child to dcfs after adoption?

Yes, it can be done, but it's something that generally should not be done. It's extremely traumatic to the child.

The general suggestion from social workers is that adoptive parents should not start visitation with the child until they're already pretty much committed to the adoption, and that you should never rush into finalization, and that when going into finalization, you need to make sure that you have realistic expectations on how difficult parenting the child(ren) will be.

What should you do if you're 40 and your wife is 45 and she has a daughter from a previous marriage but you don't feel your life will be complete unless you have a child of your own?

I certainly can understand your feelings, but at 45 it's a little late in life for your wife to have another baby. This is something you should be discussing with her. If she agreed you could see a specialist before she gets pregnant and understand any risks to mother and baby. A child is a child whether you are part of the birth process or not. You could consider a surrogate mother (meaning your sperm would be placed into another woman to give birth to your child ... but, also it has her genes as well, so you wife may not feel comfortable with this.) Usually a contract is drawn up with the surrogate mother with the understanding she has all medical bills paid for and that you can even be there at the birth of the baby. This, of course has to be done with a lawyer. Secondly, there is nothing wrong with adopting a wee babe and you would get just as great a joy as if it were your own. My husband and I were never blessed with children, but we have wonderful nephews, a niece and two Goddaughters that we have thankfully been part of their lives and had wonderful times with them. We never missed a darn thing! We had it all! We enjoyed those kids so much. It's a matter of the way you look at things. Don't be afraid to sit with your wife and discuss what is in your heart about children and please, don't tell her you went on a board to ask this question or you may hurt her. When you marry you are not only lovers, but best friends, so you should feel like you can ask her anything. Although she may be hurt a little she will certainly understand. You both can work this out together. Good Luck Marcy

How expensive is adoption when you want to adopt your wife's children?

It won't be nearly a expensive as adopting a child from an agency or a foreign country. But you should find a lawyer who deals with this and have the appropriate paperwork drawn up to make it legal. The best way to find a good, reasonably priced lawyer is by word of mouth. Ask around to people who have done this. OR try the yellow pages for lawyers who make adoptions legal and permenent. Call a few different ones, give them the bare-bones facts and choose one that you feel comfortable with and fits your budget. !

How do you find your biological father in Toronto Canada?

Searching in Ontario

The rules in Ontario on disclosing information in birth registrations and adoption orders have changed recently with the enactment of the 2007 law, the Adoption Information Disclosure Act.

The opening of Ontario adoption records means that adoptees over 18 can access previously sealed records, and discover their original name.

However that Act eliminated the Adoption Disclosure Register (ADR), which since the 1980s ran a mutual match registry for adoptees and birth parents, and an active search registry on behalf of adoptees.

Subsequent events have made searching with the help of the provincial government problematical. For the latest news, see the Ministry of Community and Social Services page, "Searching for Adoption Records in Ontario", at

http://www.mcss.gov.on.ca/mcss/english/pillars/community/programs/adoptInfo.

On the same subject, I've posted the article "Ontario opens its adoption files" at

http://www.familyhelper.net/news/070910open.html.

Some steps you can take are:

-- Ask for background information from the Children's Aid Society which handled your adoption.

-- Register with a support group such as Parent Finders.

Parent Finders is a volunteer search and support organization for adoptees and birth parents which has helped many people. They will send an information package, if you forward your mailing address. I recommended contacting it as it is a very helpful group. Here are the details:

Parent Finders National Capital Region Inc., Box 21025, Ottawa South P.O., Ottawa, Ont. K1S 5N1, 613-730-8305, fax 730-0345, e-mail: pfncr@aol.com, web site: http://members.aol.com/pfncr. President is Patricia McCarron.

Parent Finders recommends an online registry database called Canadian Adoptees Registry Inc. (CARI), at

http://www.canadianadopteesregistry.org. It is also a searchable database. There are no fees involved, and it's run by volunteers.

Another legitimate online registry is called Canadopt, also linked on the PFNCR home page. It's wise to put your name in as many databases as possible and hope for a match.

Can a US citizen adopt a legal immigrant on student visa who is over 18 she lost her dad and her mom can no longer afford to pay for her school?

Yes, the adoption is possible, but remember that the adoption will not give her any immigration benefit (must be before child turns 16 for an immigraqtion benefit). That is, you will NOT be able to petition her for legal residency.
