I don't think kids should be banned from all Internet activity, unless it is a loss of the Internet due to the child being disciplined. I do, however, think certain websites should be off limits and that there is a time for everything. Kids need some balance, especially when they are young children. They need to spend time out of their room, with their friends, getting some exercise and fresh air as well as time for the computer, TV and cell phones. Electronics are used too often by lazy parents as a babysitter. The Internet is no exception. Children need to be monitored to some extent based on age. who knows where it would lead if left unchecked by a parent looking out for their children's best interest. Parents need to be responsible for what their children are doing online. For some, that may mean a ban. Because who knows what they are doing online , if not checked by a adult children could be doing something inept operations.
