Are law students required to complete internships in law firms before they graduate?
An internship isn't required, but its always a good idea. You see, in law school, you learn the law, but you do not learn HOW to practice law. In law school you don't learn how to interview clients, how to file a lawsuit, how to serve a party, what forms do the courts use (you will have no idea what they even look like). So as a lawyer, i can tell you that a legal internship will be very useful in understanding the PRACTICE of law.
Do you need an internship to be a video game designer?
Not necessarily. Some graphic designers are able to get a job without an internship, but an internship is an excellent way to get a foot in the door, meet new people, and get some experience with real world work.

Will you need to be licensed to be a graphic designer?
Technically, no. There isn't a graphic design license like there is, say, a medical license. However, you will have a really hard time getting a job without a degree, whether it is an Associate's degree or a B.A., unless you are incredibly creative and awesome. You need to learn the things that are taught in classes at college for graphic design to understand the business and technical aspects better, rather than just the creative aspect of graphic design. Anybody can be creative.
Of course, having a B.A. may look better than having an Associate's degree. A lot of training will also occur on the job. Lots of agencies and in-house agencies will spend quite a bit of time training new employees, not necessarily on how to design, but how to do things the way they are done at that particular agency.
It also helps a lot if you are Adobe certified. Adobe offers training specific to their products and you can take individual classes on a single product or a combination. You will have to study, demonstrate your knowledge, and complete an exam in order to be certified. It's not necessary but it certainly looks good on a resume.
You could always just be a freelance graphic designer. It is sometimes more difficult to get your name out there without a prestigious agency (or a company of an in-house agency) backing you. Doing freelance doesn't require any certification, but like was mentioned before, it will be a lot more difficult for you without the educational background. Have worked as a Graphic Designer for 20 years both in Europe and the USA and have never heard of anybody needing a license to work as a Graphic Designer. To get specific jobs you might need to have certain degrees or diplomas both there is no licensing involved.

Technically I do not think you need any schooling, only training and you must pass the bar of the state in which you hope to practice. However, the bar usually requires some sort of formal training, typically a bachelors degree followed by a Juris Doctorate.

What does an intern in a hospital do and how old do you have to be to be one?
An intern takes care of patients, runs tests, that sort of thing. Surgical interns do some operations. The big thing with interns is that they can't do any of this unsupervised. They always need a resident or attending watching them.
Regarding age, there's no SET age, but you need to complete College and Medical School, so that's 8 years right there. Plus, lets say, K-8 grade is another 8 years, so 16 years so far. Plus 4 years of highschool, you'd need to be at least 25. (Assuming you started Kindergarten at 5.)

What is the Ontario Legislature Internship program?
The Ontario Legislature Internship Programme (OLIP) was established in 1975. The Programme is administered by the Canadian Political Science Association and runs through a financial grant from the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. OLIP is a non-partisan program and is not associated with the Government of Ontario nor with any political party.
Each year, the Programme provides interns the opportunity to work as highly qualified assistants to backbench Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs). The interns write questions, statements, press releases, attended stakeholder meetings and visit the constituency's of their MPPs, among many other activities. In addition to getting the practical experience of the daily workings of the Ontario Legislature, the internship has an academic component which allows each intern to write a paper on a topic of their choice.
Interns also have the opportunity to supplement knowledge of the legislative process through a comparative lens. Every year, the interns visit Ottawa, Quebec City, and London, England. The interns also have the opportunity to choose a destination in either the US or Canada for a Spring visit.
Each year, eight to ten interns are selected from across Canada through a highly competitive process. Internships are based in Toronto, begin each September and last for 10 months. The Programme is open to Canadian citizens, provided that they are a recent graduate of a Canadian University. Prospective interns should also demonstrate an interest in and a knowledge of the legislative process. The Programme welcomes and encourages applicants from all academic backgrounds.
Alumni of the Programme have gone on to pursue a variety of successful careers including positions in government, business, journalism, law and academic life.
What is the opposite of an intern?
An "extern." I recently heard the term used for someone who works in a voluntary capacity with a company or organization to learn the field, without pay, while assiting them. This enables them to learn the job, network, etc. Unlike an intern no association with an academic institution is necessary.
