Salmon was important because they were food for them and stored the salmon for future uses. They had lived by a river of stream so they could get water for crops, and water in general. There was also trees around so they could build fires, houses, and tools.

people use old cars ,also we are in carriages while horses ride us to different places .People use tricycles to ride around town. some homes are two storeys but are narrow.people can get very poor. the phones are different you have to spin around this wheel to call people.

the Iroquois made canoes by chopping down huge trees and then lighting small fires in the logs. After burning out the middle, they would scoop out the ashes by using stone tools. They fashioned huge oars from the limbs of the trees. An giant canoe could hold up to 100 people.

Build your longhouse from the Popsicle sticks, place the moss on the sticks and around it. Place all of this on the cardboard, make your sticks/moss look like a forest. You are done.

(There were no horses in North America until colonists brought them over from Europe.) In wintertime, Iroquois people used laced snowshoes and sleds to travel through the snow.

Women had many important jobs in the Iroquois tribe such as planting and harvesting the crops, collecting wild nuts and berries, making clothes, clay pots and baskets, taking care of the homes and the children. And of one of the most important jobs was being a Clan Mother.

Iroquois Indians Didn't Have a religion until the white men got involved and said that the religion for them was the way of being for them (Iroquois Indians). Only The great spirits were important to them so white men told them to kill their wives for sacrafice to the great spirits and some did. But then they stopped. Then they just gave thanks to the great spirits. And that is what they do today.

The clothing in Iroquois Indians are made out of deerskin and of many different kinds of animals. The woman of this tribe wore tunic-like dresses over short legging. They also wore shirts, vests, and moccasins. The men wore short leggings and a type of hat called a Kastowah(a feathered hat). Most of the clothing was made from skins of animals

In the 17th century all five Indian trides formed a union. A union is also called a confederacy. Their government was called The Great Peace Law. The Tuscarora people later joined the Graet Peace Law, so then there were five tribes in the confederacy. the onondaga, mohawk, oneida, seneca, and cayuga.

The Cayuga tribe were farmers. Cayuga women planted crops of corn, beans, and squash and harvested wild berries and herbs. Cayuga men hunted deer and elk and fished in the rivers and on the shores of Lake Ontario. Cayuga Indian recipes included cornbread, soups, and stews, which they cooked on stone hearths.
