7) Disconnect fuel pump connector located above the #4 crossmember.

8) Disconnect the fuel lines using tool (T90T-9550-s)

9) Disconnect the vapor tub from the tee on the RH side of vehicle. Hint: squeeze the fitting to disconnect.

10) Disconnect the vapor tube from the canister tube at elbow. (Replace with new clamp later on assembly)

11) Position safety support under vehicle.

12 Remove the nuts and swing the fuel tank straps away from the fuel tank.

13) Lower the fuel tank.

14) Remove and discard the fuel tank mounting studs.

note: When reconnecting the fuel lines, install the upper supply line first which has a label on it.

Lift the vehicle on a jack, remove the tire and set aside, remove the brake shoe/caliper, and remove and dispose of the old brake pad. Put in a new brake pad, replace the brake shoe/caliper, replace the tire, tighten the nuts, and lower the vehicle to the ground.

Open up the key fob mechanism again with fingers or a small screwdriver. The CR2032 battery is obvious and interfaces with the printed circuit board. Replace battery which just pops out of its plastic mounting and reassemble. Polarity is marked on the plastic to indicate which way up

Be careful of the spring loaded mechanism which retains the removable key in the fob but it is easy to reassemble of it does come out of its guiding slot

Could be the connector to the CD unit ( I had same problem on my XKR ) In the trunk take the side panel off surrounding the CD changer and check the connector that plugs into the car wiring loom. Mine had 2 corroded pins, I cut the wires and soldered jumpers across the connector.

It's easy. First, make sure that the ash tray cover is in the up postion. Next, remove the shifter cover. Just grap onto the cover at the top and pull up. There are two screws at the bottom of the ash tray that need to be removed. Remove the ash tray and disconnect the plug to the lighter. Next, remove the cover on the hazard light. Just use a small screwdriver to pry off the cover. Be carefull not to break the clips. There are two torx screws at the top and two at the bottom. Remove these and the entire unit comes out. Remove the plugs to the hazard light, climate controls and radio. The radio unit attached to the bracket separately from the climate control unit. Just remove the screws from the bracket an it will drop right out. Hope this helps.

You've not said if coupe or drop-top, coupe is easier. Lever off speaker cover in centre of window, once one corner is off the rest come away easily, then there are I believe 9 small nuts that need unscrewing, once undone you can open the boot/trunk and carefully pull the sub away. Very difficult to find a replacement sub of the same shallow profile though so easiest to get a used OEM where possible.

Yes, the timing chain adjusters and water pump impeller are both plastic and will need replaced. The control arm bushings will need replaced often. The OEM power top fluid will need replaced with new improved type and change your break fluid every two years to avoid costly ABS repairs. The motor could fail from Nicasil block if high sulfur gas has been used and many electronic gremlins my show up, ie, power seats, windows, mirror's stereo and tail lights. The self dimming rear view mirror my leak oil and need replaced with new gel model. They are a great car and a blast to own/drive, they just can be expensive.
