Not much ,but yes they added bolt tabs on the passenger side for the coil to mount to and the timing chain cover has a bigger tab for one of the pulleys. And if your sticking in a 1988-89 into a new year with a automatic make sure you change the cps ring or your vehicle wont start.

The 4.0 Engine has not made much of a change to worry about. I installed a 4.0 from a 2001 Grand Cherokee into a 1988 Cherokee that had a 4.0. The only difference was that there is no place for the Knock Sensor. No big deal. I just left it unplugged. The coolant sensor for the computer is now located in the Thermostat housing. A new housing from the Jeep Dealer was only $13.00. The rest bolts right up. I hope this helps you out.

easiest way to check is to cover grill in front of radiator and start engine cover will restrict air flow and make engine heat up.by watching temp gauge you should have a fair idea when fan should switch on.if it doesnt switch on you know relay or swith is not working. you can then check switch with a test light to see if it has poer on both sides. pretty much test relay the same way relay will only test when hot enuff to turn on fan

You must be in a place where there is no buildings. then do approx 3 full complete turns. this is supposed to recalibrate the compass.

The thermostat should be located underneath the top hose coming off of your radiator. Remove the 2 bolts holding it onto the top of the engine and the thermostat will be sitting smiling at you. Pull it out with your two fingers, clean up the old gasket with a razor (don't etch the metal), replace the new gasket that came with the replacement part, and reverse removal order mentioned above.

If using RTV it is 55 in-lbs, if using a permanent gasket it is 44 in-lbs.

1) Have you tried taking the front dash off and checking the install underneath? I know my comes off easily (6 screws) and then the stereo was mounted with a few screws under that. 2) If you do successfully remove the stereo and it still works I may be interested in taking it off your hands :)

This turns out to be the "64 cent" question. I can't find a source for the schematic or diagram. So if you are patient and have the time - - start with #1 and unplug it, and go find out what does N O T function, any more. Put it back and go to # 2 and do the same thing. I know that I've disabled my factory installed security by removing fuses #6 & #7, thus allowing me to drive. Security ?, I can run faster than you.

It cost me $45 by licensed window specialist to fix a chip in my windshield. He basically filled it with a clear epoxy with a special hand held injection tool that stuck to the windsheild. This made the chip almost invisible and definitely stronger than it was had I left it alone.

You can do it yourself, refills can be bought with the hose attached and some have a gauge on them to show proper amount. The hose will only attach to the proper fitting. High pressure side is bigger so there is no risk of the can blowing up.
