What good things did John F. Kennedy do for the US?
I am reading the Chris Mathews book on JFK now and he was an amazing fellow. He was a war hero. In WW2 he saved 10 men's lives that were on his PT boat, came home and served in the House for 4 terms, served in the US Senate, and finally president. As president he had the cold war to deal with and handled the Cuban Missile crises. He started the Peace Corp and did a thousand of other things. His philosophy concerning war and peace was established at least 20 years before he would face one of the most challenging things a president ever faced. He kept us out of nuclear war. He felt that war was useless and that other ways could solve problems. Imagine, if he hadn't felt this way and was a person who thought war solved problems. It is beyond imagination of what our world would be like today.
