the camshaft position sensor for a 2005 kia optima four cylinder is located on the right side of the valve cover in front of engine its right under the cover on top of engine you should see it when you pull the cover off it has one bolt 10 mm holding it on and one plug.

i do believe they said CRANKSHAFT SENSOOOOORRRRRR> not camshaft

crankshaft sensor is on passenger side behind the lower timing belt cover right next to the crank pulley. replacing this is not fun. i know, i have done it.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect electrical connector from headlight assembly.

3. Remove back cover by pushing in on cover, then rotating cover counterclockwise to disengage from

headlight assembly.

CAUTION: The headlight bulb is filled with a gas which is under pressure.

Damage to glass part of bulb can cause bulb to explode causing

possible personal injury.

4. Pull socket with bulb straight back and remove it from headlight and combination light assembly.

5. If bulb has failed, place it in new bulb carton and dispose of properly.

6. Hold replacement bulb by base, or use clean cloth or paper to avoid touching glass, and install bulb in

socket.

7. Align slots on bulb with corresponding bosses on headlight assembly. Insert bulb into headlight and

combination light assembly.

8. Install back cover to hold bulb in place.

9. Connect electrical connector.

10. Connect negative battery cable.

1. Sit in the vehicle and close all the doors. Insert the key into the ignition.

2. Turn the key to the "Off" position then to the "On" position. Repeat this until the door locks cycle to indicate that the programming mode is activated. End with the ignition key in the "On" position.

3. Press the "Unlock" or "Lock" button on the programmable remote. Listen for the doors to lock or unlock to verify successful programming.

4. Turn the ignition key to the "Off" position. Listen for the door locks to cycle to indicate that you have exited the programming mode.

5. Repeat the above steps to add any additional remotes.

Just in case anyone comes across this reply when looking for how to adjust Sorento headlights: the answer above is wrong. Sorento headlights are adjustable up & down, and side to side with a Phillips screwdriver. In addition, some Sorentos have and in-vehicle headlight adjustment switch so you can adjust for extra weight in the rear while you are driving.

The 2002 Kia water pump is located on the front of the engine. You can follow the bottom radiator hose directly to the water pump.

Both codes indicate a problem within the Transmission Control Module or TCM. Take it to a transmission shop, they can pull any additional code from the TCM.
