anything basically. I have a 2003 Kia Sorrento and it happened to me too. I asked my dad to fix it but i cant remember why it was misfiring...

Your car uses refrigerant not Freon. Freon is a brand name put out by DuPont. All ac systems use refrigerant often mistakenly called Freon. All of them!!! Check for a decal under the hood or on the compressor for the information you seek. I believe that around 1996 car makers started using R-134A instead of R-12 refrigerant. Hope this helps.

There are fasteners located out of sight...look inside the door pulls, remove window winders and dooe latches. Use a flat and flexible putty knife and work it around the edges of the door to find the friction clips and apply pressure to force them out of the door metal. Be careful id yoou have speakers in the doors...wires are in there.

1. Remove two plastic covers from rear bottom of driver seat to expose nut & bolt.

2. Unscrew nut on left side of seat rear & unscrew bolt at right rear (holds seat to floor).

3. Unscrew two bolts at front of seat (left & right) on floor.

4. Raise front of seat enough to gain access to two cables.

5. Disconnect two cables by pressing where appropriate to release.

6. Remove seat from vehicle (or slide far enough forward to access screws near switch).

7. Unscrew three screws holding plastic molding that has power seat switch..

8. Pull plastic molding far enough away to gain access to switch.

FINAL: unscrew four screws hold switch to plastic molding.

REPLACE SWITCH

REVERSE SEQUENCE to replace.

The curb weight of the 2003 Kia Sorento is 4057 lbs..

My 2006 Sorento has a protector plate under the engine---you can drain the oil without removing the plate if you have a funnel that can be pointed towards a hole in the protector plate, but it is a tight fit.

Removing the plate will expose the oil pan and drain plug as in all engines.

tools needed: Phillips head screwdriver, Flat head screw driver. Open the door on the back of the vehicle. Locate the screws that hold the Taillights in place. Using the Flathead screwdriver, pry the taillight directly toward the rear of the car ever so gently until it pops loose. replace the bulb. when putting the light housing assembly back in place, give it a gentle but firm tap to seat it in place. Put the screws back in.

If it is like a 2004 Sorento 3.5 engine, you will have to remove a plastic cover bolted under the engine (5 bolts -12mm wrench), very easy to do, then you will see the oil filter on the engine's driver side toward the front of the engine, I do not do this when the engine is real hot as the filter is a bit awkward to get to. Hope this helps.

I have a 2007 Sorento and just changed the oil and filter. The plastic cover under the engine is the same as far as getting to the drain plug on the oil pan. However, the oil filter is located under the hood. It is at the rear center of the engine, next to the firewall. There is a black canister about 4" in diameter that has a screw cap cover. It's a little tricky to get the cover off the canister due to lack of room. You may have to remove the plastic cover that is mounted over the top of the engine to get it out. Once you do, the filter is nothing more than a paper cylinder that pulls out of the canister and the new one is popped back in place. Be sure the canister cover is screwed back on flush with the canister or it will leak. Nice idea from Kia....

I have a 2003 Sorento, the 2004 info above applies. FYI - used a 17mm wrench to remove drain plug. As for filter, note that KIA filter casing is wider (approx 3mm) than non KIA (FRAM) filter - does not matter as thread is the same. Since i had purchased a filter (cap) socket wrench for the replacement (FRAM), I was not able to use it to remove the KIA brand filter. Strap wrench barely worked. Getting the old filter out, well lets say that it went on quite a journey, the newer (narrower one) was easier to get in.

The 2003 Kia Sorento with 3.5L V6 has the spark plugs located under black plastic covers in the center channel of each cylinder head. Several brackets, cables, and hoses must be moved out of the way to access them. The manufold air intake tube needs to be removed on the right bank. The left cylinder bank has coil-on-plug assemblies while the right bank has more conventional spark plug caps with sealing assemblies to keep dirt/moisture out of the spark plug wells. The coil-packs are held with two 10mm bolts each and are difficult to get to. Use universal-joint sockets and an extension. Service manuals indicate 2.5 hours to R/R spark plugs. The average do it yourself'er will take longer (usually). All electrical plugs are color-coded and/or indexed so it's pretty difficult to screw it up. The cruise control actuator cable is in the way on the left bank. Twisting the cable elbow upright releases it from the actuator allowing it to be bent sideways to gain clearance.

I had the same problem on mine. On the door ,You will need to tighten the three screws that holds the door lock.
