those are averages ,yours may actually do better or a little worse than what is stated.Usually there close.My kia sportage says 21 hwy i actually get 22, my kia rondo gets the same as stated if i keep my lead foot out of gas pedal.It is really your driving habits that dictate your MPG, and of course tune ups ,tire pressure etc.

2000 kia what ? generally to test the cooling fan ,disconnect fan from harness, then run a wire from battery to hot side of fan and another wire to negative side then touch to see if it turns over. A lot of the time th efan may act bad but it is the relay that is the problem , so check it or replace it ,$ 16.00 at kia dealer.

you can try radiator leak stopper, but i would just replace heater core .,eally cannot be repaired.

you need a large pair of channel locks or brake spring removal tool, i use channel locks, but watch your knuckles ,those springs are knuckle busters !
