Hw do you add transmission fluid to a Lincoln ls?

You will need to raise the vehicle enough to gain access to the underneath.
On the tail shaft housing of the transmission (the rear of the tranny) there is a plug on the passenger side. Remove that plug and add fluid.

Word of caution, you must have the engine running. The fluid must be at operating temperature. The transmission pan has a 2 plug system. This plug is used to put the fluid level at the correct level. With the engine running, remove the LITTLE plug and wait for a few seconds. If fluid continues to pour out then that means the transmission is over full. If nothing comes out, then you will need to add fluid slowly through the plug on the rear of the tailshaft housing. Once fluid starts to come out of the little plug on the pan then you need to stop and wait. Add a little bit more fluid till some fluid comes out.

Put plugs back in and get in driver seat, hold brake and shift transmission from PARK to REVERSE, then to NEUTRAL, and on down. Stay in each gear for a few seconds. Then put back in PARK and let vehicle idle for a few minutes.

Recheck the fluid level by removing the little plug. Add fluid if needed.

Or another way is to take vehicle into a TRANSMISSION shop.

I assume your asking what problems a bad IAT sensor will cause.... You may want to read ur questions before posting them... Very rare to see a bad IAT sensor on any car. They don't do much, unless you have a code for only a bad IAT, its not the problem. Simply measures underhood temp or the temp of the air after the air cleaner.
