I'm not a mechanic / technician but I know on the Lincoln LS , 3.0 litre V6

engine that the engine cylinder locations are numbered :

1 - 4

front of vehicle

So I ASSUME the coils are :

( at least that would make sense to me )

its usually in the book on a little card. if u brought it brand new it might be 00000. if not u will have to have a Lincoln dealer hook up to it to get it off the computer

the low end pressure servvice port on a 3.9 litre 2001 Lincoln ls is on the ac compresser wich is located on the lower drivers side of the motor. easiest access is to take the drivers side tire off under the a arm.

You have to have the owners manual, there are step by step instructions.

You can reset the air conditioning filter light by changing the air conditioning filter. If the light stays on remove the fuse for 10 seconds. Put the fuse back in and the light should stay off.

Generally you start at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder and work your way closer, like right rear, left rear, right front, left front. However, I have seen certain cars that require a different proceedure, yours may be one of them Also, if your car has anti-lock brakes it can get more complicated. In any case, I usually ask somebody to sit in the drivers seat and pump the brake pedal a couple times and then hold it down with slight pressure while I open the bleeder and close it. 3 or 4 times for each wheel, or until all the air bubbles are gone. Please check for the manufacturers recommended procedures buy purchasing a repair or service manual.

I prefer to drive mine on the road or the drag strip.

You will experience worse fuel mileage, vibration, and possibly ruin the cylinder that has the bad coil due to unburnt fuel.

Go online and by OEM coils or Accel brand coils. They are much cheaper than buying them from the dealership.

Same problem with my 2002 LS. I did take it to the dealer and they said that the element was burned out. Quoted apx. $800 for parts and labor. My butt remains cold for the time being.

According to a drawing in the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide :

The engine cooling fan fluid reservoir is located in the engine compartment , it is

between the engine and the passenger side of the engine compartment

* it takes Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid , fill to MAX line on reservoir

I was looking at a picture in the 2004 Lincoln LS owners manual and it shows

that the engine coolant reservoir is located on the drivers side of the engine

compartment next to the firewall ( you can see the cap for the reservoir

through a hole in some kind of panel )

Once on www.micronAir.com, click on the US section at the top of the page.

There you will find Lincolns. I did.

Loosen the tensioner pulley. Remove the alternator belt. Remove the wiring cables from the alternator. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new alternator.

the number 6 coil refers to the number 6 cilinder . the coil sits on top of your plugs and each plugs has its on coil.. v6 = 6 plugs and 6 coils.... v8 is the same .. 8 plugs 8 coils... you need to look up cilinder locations to find the order of cilinders... most are two ways... odds on left evens on right or 1-4 on left block 5-8 on the right ( the v8s are this way)

There isn't one.

The system is designed to use the recovery tank on the driver side. There is a cap on the recovery tank and you check the level there and add coolant there.

The windshield washer fluid reservoir is located in the passenger side of the

engine compartment between the Power Distribution Box and the front of the

2001 Lincoln LS

theres two according to my mechanic and u can not get a universal either u kinda need to get a full set from Lincoln itself. Im about to change mine and its a little pricie im lookin at 600 just the catalytic coverter
