Mathematical Analysis

Mathematical analysis is, simply put, the study of limits and how they can be manipulated. Starting with an exhaustive study of sets, mathematical analysis then continues on to the rigorous development of calculus, differential equations, model theory, and topology. Topics including real and complex analysis, differential equations and vector calculus can be discussed in this category.

How many miles are in a day of driving?

This will depend on whether you're using a major highway, a secondary road, or doing city driving. Assuming that you're on a major interstate and are averaging 55 m.p.h. while driving, the next question is are you alone or driving in shifts with one or more partners. I think a reasonable estimate, allowing for food stops, would be about 700 miles maximum for a single driver per 24 hour period, and normally more like 600 miles plus. For two people, it could be as much as about 1100-1200 miles per 24 hours if they take turns sleeping and eating in the car while the other person drives.

How do you change the themostat in a 99 Chrysler Town and Country need step by step instructions thanks?

This can be a bit messy, are you sure your thermostat needs changed? -The thermostat is located at the engine end of the large 2" hose going from the top of the radiator to the engine. You'll see this hose go to an elbow pipe with 2 bolts.
-Set a drain pan directly underneath this area on the ground to catch the spill, and remove these 2 bolts.
-It will stick hard so carefully wiggle the elbow pipe loose and lift off. Raise the hose so you don't lose too much coolant.
-Make sure you bought a new gasket with your thermostat as this one will be trashed. Carefully wiggle out the thermostat. Make sure you don't drop a bunch of dirt and oil gunk into this hole so I recommend cleaning around it before removing the thermostat.
-Clean off the old gasket with a knife of some kind, don't gouge the metal, just get it off as best you can - this is aluminum so it will gouge easily with steel tools.
-Next install the new thermostat, the new gasket, put the elbow back in place and tighten down the 2 bolts. Top off your coolant after a week or so once the air bubble bleeds off that you created. Dispose of your spilled coolant at your local auto parts store - they usually recycle this type of hazardous waste.

How do you show a number divided by zero is undefined?

Programming language?

For example:

For A ÷ B

If B = 0

Then

Answer = "Undefined"

Else

Answer = A ÷ B

End If

By the way, in Calculus, you often find out that 'passing the limit' you will get a rational value when dividing by zero. It depends on the equation.

What is mean by absolute value of rational numbers?

Absolute values are essentially used for the magnitude (distance) to zero of a number. They are represented by a number inside a vertical bar (e.g., |2|)

E.g.'s:

| 2 | = 2 (the absolute value of 2 is equal to 2)

| -4 | = 4 (the absolute value of -4 is 4)

In terms of rational numbers, it just means to hold the fraction. Rational numbers can be written in a/b (fraction) form.

E.g.'s:

| 1+2/3 | = 1+2/3 (the absolute value of one and two thirds is equal to one and two thirds)

| -1-2/3| = 1+2/3 (the absolute value of -1 minus 2/3 is equal to 1 and 2/3.

What does 8'x 30'' equal to?

8'X 30"

Change feet to inches: 8'X12" = 96"

96"X30" = 2880"2

2880"2 = 20'2

How many shapes an faces does a cube have?

A cube has only one shape and that is of a cube! It has six faces.

What is reciprocal of zero divided by one?

Swap the numerator and the denominator to obtain 1/0. Anything divided by zero is undefined.

When does the magnitude of dot product and cross product of vectors is equal?

If x is the angle between the two vectors then the magnitudes are equal if cos(x) = sin(x). That is, when x = pi/4 radians.

How do you decide how many solutions a linear system in three variables has?

Put the coefficients of the variables into a 3x3 matrix, and take the determinant of the matrix. If the determinant is not zero, then there is one solution. If the determinant is zero, then there are infinite solutions or there is no solution.

Think of a system of 2 variables, for simplicity. You have 2 equations and 2 variables (x & y). Each equation can be graphed as a straight line, hence the name 'linear system'. If the 2 lines are not parallel, then there will be only one point where they intersect, which is the one solution to the linear system. If they are parallel, then there is no solution(they never intersect), and if the two lines coincide, then infinite solutions(they intersect at every point). In both of the latter cases, the related matrix will have a determinant of zero.

What is the prefix for denoting eleven?

There are several, of which endeca- and hendeca- are more common. However, most mathematicians who wish to communicate rather than be pretentious will refer to an 11-gon or 11-hedron rather than use the prefices.

Is a positive integer divisible by 13?

some are but most are not. There are actually an infinite number that are, 13, 26, 39, 52, etc. are all divisible by 13.

How do you do a statistical analysis on excel?

* http://www.leansigmamart.com Starting with understanding the DMAIC method, with out this you are never going to have successful results. I recently discovered this site dedicated to answering all the Lean Six Sigma / process improvement needs and questions. They offer a FREE very complete software system that will walk you through the entire DMAIC methodology. It has a training video at every possible step including example data, video demonstration, voice guided instructions, templates for every step, and a phone contact to even help you. Oh and did i say FREE? In that site they also have a forum for Q. & A. beside a live chat room. Do you use minitab? How about a complete section on how to use it with videos and links to their home page. They have so much more I cant list, just go there and see. I spend countless hours looking for answers as you did here. I found a source with accurate information and gives you what you are really looking for, plus a way to drive your projects with a mentor.
