What food can you eat when your on your period and why?

I usualy eat granola bars (the fruit ones, no chocolate). It seems to slow it down a little so I dont have leaks, and it seems to help my cramps. I would also take in a lot of fruit, some fiber, and a little chocolate every once in a while.

I would try to avoid eating too much ice cream, chocolate, caffeine, and the three-foot-tall sundaes (I know, can't resist it!!!), mainly because it seems to make my cramps hurt more.

Just try to stick to fiber, fruits, granola, and some dairy (mainly healthy foods) and your period should go smoothly.

If your menstrual cycle is 38 days when do you ovulate?

Let's assume your period came on 28th of September, 2008. Ovulation normally occurs on day 14th of the cycle given a regular cycle. If that is the case, ovulation would take place on the 12th of October, 2008.

Is it normal for eleven years old girl to have heavy period for 7 days?

Yes, that's perfectly normal. Some people have lighter flows for a longer amount of time, and some people have heavier flows for a shorter amount of time.

Also, your first few periods are usually irregular. For example, my friend's daughter got her period and then didn't get it again for 6 months. You have nothing to worry about.

Is thickening the endometrium the main function of progesterone during menstrual cycle?

Yes, thickening of the uterine lining is one of the main functions of progesterone during the menstrual cycle, allowing the womb to build-up the uterine lining to support a fertilised egg. If pregnancy doesn't occur then it's the drop in progesterone that causes the uterine lining to break down.

Can a cross dresser male wear a female tampon?

No, it's not really the best idea.

Obviously if a person is male they don't have a vagina in which to insert a tampon, although they could insert the tampon anally as there is no lubrication there would be high risk of anal tissue damage - uncomfortable, and posing risk of both infection and toxic shock syndrome. Besides, why us a tampon if you can't use a tampon as intended?

If you want to experience menstrual products then buy some - tampons, pads, liners, menstrual cups, softcups and imagine using them, it's not quite the same as actually using these items but then neither is inserting a tampon into your anus.

You can of course use pads or liners, some nice pretty pink cloth pads from the likes of Lunapads may appeal to you, just wear them in your underwear. Another suggestion would be period panties or period belts - underwear with pads built-in like Lunapanties, underwear with leak-proof lining like Dear Kates, or hybrids like WeMoon Nights.

Will tampons used early in pregnancy harm?

Yes, tampons should not be used when not menstruating - this is tampon safety 101.

Tampons dry-out vaginal tissues causing small tears that allow bacteria and bacterial toxins into the bloodstream, using tampons without sufficient flow will increase that damage so pose higher risk of developing Toxic Shock Syndrome. There's no reason to use tampons when pregnant.

What is the period of pulsation?

The period of pulsation refers to the time it takes for a pulsating object, such as a star or a heartbeat, to complete one full cycle of expansion and contraction. In astronomy, for example, it is often measured in days, hours, or minutes, depending on the type of pulsating star. This periodicity can provide insights into the object's physical properties, such as its size, temperature, and luminosity. Understanding the period of pulsation is crucial for studying various astrophysical phenomena and their underlying mechanisms.

How do you calculate when you should start your period one month to the next?

It's said to be a 28 day cycle. Mark the first day of your period on a calander in one colour count out 28 days forward and mark it with another colour. You will be due 'around' this date. When the next period comes mark the day with the first colour. You should find that your period comes around the same day each month. You'll very quickly learn exactly when your due, unless your periods are irregular.

Cycles vary from woman to woman. For most its a 28 day cycle but can range upto 35 days. But just do what the above answer has suggested because this is the right way to do it. It will take atleast 3 to 4 months before you actually see a regular patten. Unless of course your period is irregular.

Does eating chocolate make you get your period?

No, eating chocolate doesn't make you get your period. When you get your period is determined by your menstrual cycle, a domino effect of hormonal changes between your reproductive organs and brain - chocolate cannot effect this, let alone make your cycle skip a phase or speed-up your cycle. Many women crave chocolate before or during menstruation because the body requires additional magnesium during menstruation, which chocolate contains so your body associates with magnesium to crave it, and can require extra energy so may crave carbs if you normally fuel your body with carbs.

Are tampons cheaper than pads?

What does red vaginal discharge mean when you're not on your period?

Red vagina discharge is bleeding - you can bleed for many reasons. For example mid-cycle or ovulation spotting as a result of hormonal imbalance, implantation bleeding if you fall pregnant, certain STI's can cause vaginal bleeding, or rough sex can cause bleeding. If unsure it may be a good idea for you to see your doctor to determine what caused this bleeding.

What if spotting occurs two weeks after your period and you havent gotten your next period yet?

It is possible that it could be implantion bleeding. But it can also just be spotting due to hormonal changes, stress, medications, etc. Implantation bleeding is the result of the fertilized egg(s) implanting itself into the uttering lining which results in bleeding and occasionally abdominal cramping. This form of bleeding takes place six to twelve days after ovulation. ( A females ovulation generally takes place 14 days before her period). There will not be a large amount of blood, some women may not even notice any. Implantation bleeding only lasts a couple of days, this is the way to compare and contrast the difference between implantation and menstrual bleeding. You must keep in mind though that not everyone will experience implantation bleeding.
