Menstruation

Menstruation is the routine discharge, or release, of blood and mucosal tissue from the uterus. This process occurs about once a month from the time a female reaches puberty until menopause. During pregnancy, the monthly menstrual cycle is absent while the womb nourishes the growing fetus.

How do you induse your period?

You can only induce your period if it is already due - e.g. after ovulation, and when there is a uterine lining build-up - if your period isn't due then you can't speed-up your cycle or skip phases of your cycle to start it sooner.

There are many methods to induce menstruation, the most commonly used are vitamin c which starves the uterus of progesterone (high dose without rosehips added as these cancel-out effects so check ingredients, take at regular intervals during the day), and parsley which softens the cervix (either insert clean organic parsley vaginally and replace every 4-6 hours, or drink parsley tea).

What is the discharge of blood from the uterus during the menstrual cycle?

It is just a sloughing of the lining of the uterus as a result of the dropped hormone levels.

Yes, you defiantly should because even though it doesn't end up in your bed right now but it does it the toilet, one day soon it might end yp in your bed, and you probably really don't want that to happen!

How menstruation happens?

If the egg fails to get fertilized by a sperm it has to be expelled and this process is started by the lowering of progesterone and estrogen levels that causes the uterus lining to break down and release a compound named prostaglandins. Prostaglandins causes the contraction of the uterine muscles that causes the breakdown of the egg and further contractions cause it to expelled through the vagina.

You are 19 years old with pubic hair no breasts and you havent had your period yet is there something wrong with you?

You should probably see a doctor about that. but if you're really skinny that can be it. If you're not eating enough the body will "think" that times are poor, and can stop menstruation if it doesn't think it has energy enough to go through pregnancy.

If you get a light spotting and get your period next day does that mean you're pregnant?

Seeing a spot of blood during ovulation is considered an excellent fertility sign. when the egg bursts through the follicle, a little bleeding may occur. This blood will then make its way out and show up as "spotting". Or, during ovulation, the level of estrogens rise, and this sometimes prompts the uterus to shed a bit of lining, which shows up in the form of "spotting."

Can a man have intercourse with his wife during her periods?

It is not likely but possible. I will always say that unless you are abstinent, there is always a possibility of being pregnant. Yes, you can get pregnant. Be on the lookout for pregnancy symptoms just in case. Your symptoms of pregnancy will usually appear anywhere from the first week of your expected period to 1-2 weeks after your first week of expected period. Your first signs of pregnancy most commonly include missed period, tender/swollen breasts, change in color of the breasts, fatigue, nausea/vomiting, increased sense of smell, and weight gain. Common myths suggest that you cannot get pregnant while on your period, that is false information as well; although it is less likely it is still possible. You can also get pregnant from pre-ejaculate as you might not have thought because pre-ejaculate still contains sperm/semen. The pullout or withdraw method can still have sperm or semen that can come in contact with the vagina and get a female pregnant.

You started using the NuvaRing last month and haven't stopped bleeding?

I don't really understand since when you have not stopped bleeding, but obviously you have been bleeding for longer than 10 days, or you would not ask. Such problems are mostly complex hormonal issues, which I can't identify. But a doctor can, and lucky for you, the solutions are really easy. So just visit your doctor and ask for him to check your hormones.

For the last 3 periods your periods have been coming on 4 days early When it came on the 1st time you wasnt sure what was going on it was short Should you worry cuz your periods usually are 28 days?

I have not experienced early periods really. If you are worried about this, ask you GP or Doctor or your Mother. I am sure your mother has answers and will be able to re-assure you !

Can it be normal to be on your menstrual cycle for 2 months and if not what could be the problem?

If you are on birth control you can have spotting for that long. That happens. But either way talk to your doctor.. im only 20 but I had a heavy period every single day for over 11 months and the doctors couldn't figure it out so i had to finally get a d & c. so make sure you talk to a doctor cause that's not fun to go through.

No not normal. You have to see your doctor because it will probably not stop on it's own now. I had the same problem years ago and I had it for 3 months and I had to get shots to stop and start it for several months. Bleeding that much can lead to other more severe problems. Please believe me, it won't stop on it's own, you need to get treatment.

that happend to me i had my period for almost 3 months. i went to the doctor and the gave me a low dosage of birth control

A week before your period was to come you had a brown discharge now your period should be here it's late but you have no discharge of any kinda your nipples and breast are very tender could you possib?

Yes... Very much likely you maybe pregnant, if that is what your asking? The brown discharge is more then likely when the embryo implaneted itself, but in other cases I was once told that a brown discharge was just old blood. Hope I helped! -Ashley-
