From experience I have taken both together. But I am no doctor so you might want to check that out before trying. But methadone blocks the full effects of Oxycontin so it's not fun to take together. If you are trying to get off oxy with the methadone I would say wait about 5 or 6 hours. again i am no doctor so ask one before doing this.

Methadone comes in liquid (usually reddish or clear), pills, white wafers which come in 40 mgs and can be broken down into 4 10 mg parts (just like a large white pill), and also in orangish wafers that are like the white ones except they disolve very quickly in water to "enter the system" faster. The liquid is usually concentrated and when dispensed is mixed with water before given to the patient . Although you would get more out of injecting the concentrated methadone and almost nothing out of the mixed most people in my experience dont inject it (usually if they are going to inject something its going to be heroin over methadone) because of the way methadone is given, meaning that usually the liquid is only given to addicts/former addicts for opioid management and the pills to pain patients, the liquid is always mixed with water before its given out and if somone does have the concentrated stuff it was either stolen or bought on the "street"

Tramadol can help a little bit with the withdrawal off any kind of pain medication it is the generic form of ultram and in some detox clinics they use that and an anxiety medication to get you through the first week or so. It will take some of the edge off but it will not take it away completely. It would help if you can could get an anxiety medication and take the tramadol with the anxiety medication and detox yourself (it is safer to go to a detox facility because you will be monitored and have trained professionals treating you, so i don't recommend it). Just because tramadol can cause seizures also because your system is used to a much stronger pain medication that the general thinking sometimes as an get a but is to try and reach a high and just keeping taking more and more pill, you will not get high or, so don't risk it.

The average dose of morphine depends upon several factors. Is it IV or oral. Even orally, there are several forms of morphine (immediate or extended release, liquid or tablet, etc...)

Generally though:

IV: 1 to 2mg every 4-6 hours

Orally: tablets 5 to 10mg every 6-8 hours

morphine is the benchmark opiate,all other opioids are measured strentgh wise in comparison with morphine. depending on which condition is being treated,various alternatives are out there. methadone is comparible in strength ad action,aswell as other opioids such as hydrocodone,codeine.[although these are weaker]. morphine is in a league above most other opioids,a few such as hydromorphone,diacetalmorphine[heroin] are stronger again than morphine. but most of the time morphine is such an effective drug little calll for the stronger formulations exist apart from palltive nursing.

I have found that the pill is stronger than the liquid, I am on 110mg of liquid, before i was on pills, the pills are much stronger... Ebp &hag

DO NOT INJECT ORAL MEDICATIONS! Medications designed for intravenous are sterile and designed specifically for that purpose. Oral medications are not and you will therefore be injecting whatever else is inside that bottle. It is not simply the case of "same thing different name," it is designated as oral for a reason.

Without running to google, from personal experience I have seen babies effected by methadone. Some of the problems I have seen are low birth weight, slow development mentally and physically(talking, crawling and walking), autism, irritability, acting out, adhd, ect... Many differnt problems could arise from a baby being born addicted to methadone, although if you are on methadone and pregnant, your best bet is to stay on methadone because the withdrawal could kill the baby. Of course this is all specualtion because I have also seen babies that were born healthy. But It must be awful for the baby to have to experience opiate withdrawal as the first thing it ever does in life.

Not to give you a vague answer, but every person's physiology is different. Body mass, metabolism, tolerance, etc. all play roles in determining the exact answer to your question. Whereas one person could never wake up after taking just 10mg of Methadone, there are others who are on levers as high as 200-300mg a day to treat Heroin addiction.

Good luck w that! The only way I kno is to find clean urine then adding the methadone to it. Therefore when tested it is only positive for methadone. This works, I have done it to pass a many.

This isn't an easy question to answer. I do know that there are pregnant women who attend the local methadone clinic, however, it can and does cause addiction in the newborn. It all depends if the benefits outweigh the risks. It is important to discuss this with a doctor.

I agree that there are pregnant women who attend a methadone clinic and are able to have a healthy baby. I myself know several of them. However, their baby stays in the hospital while they wean it off of the methadone (again, this applies to the women I know that were pregnant on the clinic... not all women who have a baby while on methadone will have to leave their baby at the hospital for weeks at a time for the baby to be withdrawn safely under medical supervision). So, therefore, I would advise anyone who is pregnant to speak to their personal doctor about the risks and benefits of taking methadone while pregnant. I do, however, think that it is better for a pregnant woman to be on methadone instead of a cocktail of drugs that could really endanger (or worse) the unborn child.

Taking a drug that has morphine in it. This includes heroin. Heroin will return a positive result for morphine. Morphine of course will also; however, morphine is rarely available on the street.

Take valuim, clonidine and ibprophen, get as much rest as you can and take lots of hot baths. Try not to take any other opiate as it will delay the process

Take none of the above,other drugs are not the answer,reduce your script at a pace you are comfortable with, I have done this myself for 14 months and am now on a very low amount (4 mill) but have not used it now for 6 days, will power is what you need.
