It depends on your definition of famous. C.F. Payne's illustrations have been seen by millions of people. For instance, his work appeared on the back cover of Reader's Digest magazine from 2003 through 2007. He's illustrated about a half dozen or so children's books (two of them written by John Lithgow). Much of his other work has been editorial illustration for some of America's most famous magazines. He regularly wins awards for these from illustration organizations.
