Windows Professional 2000 is an older operating system still used on some networks. Windows 2000 has a similar architecture to newer Windows operating systems, such as the ability to place programs in the start section of the registry. The registry has a section called "Run," where programs such as antivirus other personalized software you want to start are entered. These programs are started each time you boot Windows.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Run." Enter "regedit" into the text box displayed and press the "Ok" button.

Navigate to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" registry directory.

Right-click the window and select "New." Select "Value" and a new window opens. In the data type drop-down box, select "REG_SZ."

Enter the executable for the program you want to start. Enter the full path to the executable, or the registry will return an error. Click the "OK" button to save your settings.

Reboot the machine. The next time you reboot, the Windows operating system automatically runs the software after you log in to the machine

In MS-DOS, several special "device files" were available to aid in performing certain tasks, such as clearing the screen or deleting extraneous output from a program. In order to maintain backwards-compatibility, all versions of Windows up to and including Windows 7 will refuse to allow you to create a file with these "reserved" device file names. The following file names are reserved:

• CON
• PRN
• AUX
• NUL
• COM1
• COM2
• COM3
• COM4
• COM5
• COM6
• COM7
• COM8
• COM9
• LPT1
• LPT2
• LPT3
• LPT4
• LPT5
• LPT6
• LPT7
• LPT8
• LPT9

CON, incidentally, was a device file used to capture whatever was printed onscreen.

If you are waiting for an email to come and its been so long and still you are waiting and you got the confirmation that the mail has been sent, you should have a look in the spam folder.

If you don't see that mail in the spam folder then go to the setting click on rules and then first check the "Email Forwarding", if they are not forwarded anywhere then go to "Safe and Blocked Senders" remove all the entries in the list. and after that you might receive that email if still not received tell the sender to send it again and this time surely you will receive it.

6) Mailer Daemon Error

This is not a problem basically, this is just an informative mail by the Hotmail Server that the email address of the recipient is not correct.
