It kind of depends, if you want to fully dye your hair, then yeah a week or maybe even two since your hair does go into shock after dyeing or cutting it BUT if you use a cap to do maybe streaks or something, then you won't suffer from your scalp getting sores BUT keep in mind your hair does become very brittle the more you do this, also, your ends look very dry and burnt like if you were to straighten it.
