Is America the promised and holy land for Mormons?
In our history, our Promised land has changed from one place to another. There was a point in time when Judaism and Mormonism were one religion, and the Promised land was in the Middle East, more specifically Israel. But eventually, as the Jews began to sin, a particular righteous family, who also was the prophet's family, received revelation that there was a new Promised land overseas. This was America.
It is kind of ideal to think that as well. I mean, in a way, America is geographically isolated. The South is very hot, and the North is very cold. Both East and West are protected by water. Because of these geographical advantages, the U.S. has managed to become a major country very hard to attack.
Unaware of any individual, Mormon or otherwise, with that name.
How many church services are there in a day?
Around 1980, the church implemented a consolidated 3 hour bloc program for their standard meetings on Sunday. The main service is called Sacrament Meeting, lasting a little over an hour. It is the meeting in which the emblems of the Sacrament are given to the members, and prayers and talks are generally provided by the members as well. Other meetings included in the 3 hour bloc (after Sacrament Meeting) are Sunday School, Primary, Young Women, Priesthood, and Relief Society. The consolidated schedule makes it possible to have multiple congregations meet in the same building, and saves on energy costs among other efficiencies.

How does Heavenly Father answer sincere prayers?
In whatever way He sees fit. We do not know the mind of God or what is truly best for us, but He does. Sometimes He'll answer with what we desire. Sometimes He'll answer through others providing service. Other times you'll feel a small nudge (spiritually or emotionally) towards the answer. Sometimes the answer is not answering the prayer because it is better for us then having the prayer answered.
Why are the articles of faith so important?
In my opinion, one reason the Articles of Faith are important is because they are helpful if someone spontaneously asks you what Mormons believe. Nearly all of them begin with the words "We believe." Latter Day Saint (Mormon) kids are supposed to memorize them.
What percent of Dixie State College are Mormons?
Since Dixie State is a public college, they are not allowed to require their students to disclose their religion. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) does not keep records on which schools members are attending, so it is impossible to know for sure how many students at Dixie State are Mormon. (also, the number fluxuates every semester) However, Dixie is in a predominantly Mormon area, and I would assume that about 50-70% of students are baptized Mormons, although many may not be practicing the faith.
Do Mormons own the Cracker Barrel?
No. Cracker Barrel is a publically traded stock market company and is therefore owned by individual share holders. Some of the share holders might be Mormon, though.

The Church itself has never had any relationship with Cracker Barrel.

Are Mormons advised not to drink carbonated beverages?
Yes, if they want to. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) does not prohibit consumption of soda drinks.
Mormons do follow a health code which prohibits 'strong drinks' (alcohol) and 'hot drinks' (coffee and tea) as well as tobacco and illegal drugs. Some Mormons do choose to avoid caffeinated sodas, and a few even avoid soda drinks altogether, but this is purely a personal choice based on the fact that they are unhealthy, it is not a requirement of their church. Many Mormons are focused on staying healthy, as they believe their bodies are sacred gifts from God and should be cared for.

It is not that they do not like coffee. The Word of Wisdom instructs them not to drink coffee, tea -- anything with caffeine in it, alcohol, or use tobacco.

Brigham Young was the second President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and as such is and was revered as a prophet. He led the Saints westward and established a government in the Utah territory. What problems did Brigham Young have with non Mormons?

Pepsi is a publically traded stock-market company owned by public shareholders. While some of the individual shareholders might be Mormon, the company itself was never owned by Mormons or by the Mormon Church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).
Mormons can and always could drink all the Pepsi (or Coke) they want. The Church itself even serves Pepsi products at some of it's cafeterias and universities. Mormons are advised to avoid caffeinated beverages, so most (but not all) would choose caffeine-free Pepsi.
Why don't Mormons drink alcohol?
Buddhism is about gaining clarity and understanding. Alcohol is about losing it. When we becomes Buddhists, we undertake to live according to a set of precepts, one of which is that we should not use alcohol or other drugs in ways that cloud the mind.
This does not prohibit alcohol use, but unless one is drinking to cloud the mind -- one of the first things that happens when we drink -- there really isn't much point in it. Thus, most committed Buddhists don't bother.
Mormons are permitted to eat shrimp. If they do or not depends more on their personal taste. Mormons do not have many food restrictions. They are taught moderation. How do Mormons eat their meat?
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) can eat whatever they want. Most Church members choose to follow a health code called the "Word of Wisdom". They believe that the Prophet Joseph Smith received this health code in a revelation from God. The Word of Wisdom prohibits the consumption of "hot drinks" (defined as coffee and tea) and "strong drinks" (defined as alcoholic or highly caffeinated beverages) as well as use of any tobacco products, smoking, or drug abuse. It also suggests eating a diet rich in whole grains, vegetables, and fruit, while using meat sparingly.
The Word of Wisdom is up to the interpretation of the individual Church member. Some follow it very strictly, even to the point of avoiding all sodas and 'junk food', while others don't follow it much at all. Adherence to the Word of Wisdom is required in order for a convert to qualify for baptism or for a church member to participate in special Temple worship services.

If your boyfriend is Mormon how can you convert and become Mormon?
Talk to your boyfriend. Or go to the church and talk to the missionaries. You can go to Mormon.org and get more info. However joining because of your boyfriend should not be your reason. Check it out and then decide.
yeah, the best way to do that is to talk to the missionaries. and i totally agree, you need to know for sure, for yourself that the church is true.
ReadAnother thing to do is to read the Book of Mormon, which Mormons believe is another book, in addition to the Bible, that tells about Christ coming to Earth. It is pretty central to the belief system, and an important thing to do if you are serious about joining.I agree, read the book first, and talk to as many people as you can (on both sides). MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR GETTING YOURSELF IN TO! Conversion is a very big move that will be very difficult to back out of or renounce later in life. If you are not prepared to spend the majority of your life serving the church, following the teachings of church leaders or tithing at least 10% of your income, converting to Mormonism may be the wrong move.
