Do Firefox and ie conflict in the same desktop?
You may keep both browsers without any conflicts. Many who prefer Firefox will seldom use IE but keep IE available within the Control Panel for the oft necessary MS Updates, Patches and Hotfixes. MS makes these available only through IE (Surprised?). Yes, I have Firefox 2, Fiefox 3, Internet Explorer 7, Safari, DINT, Opera, OperaUSB and a few others... The only reason I don't delete IE is because I'm not an Admin.
Does Firefox work with Windows 98?
Support for Windows 98 was dropped after the 2.0 line. Firefox 3.0 and higher are not compatible.

In Internet Explorer 8, there is an option of doing this already.
- Open Internet Explorer 8.
- On the toolbar, there is a house icon.
- When visitng Google click the drop down from the house and select Add or Change Home Page.
- Choose "Add this web page to your home page tabs".
- Click Tools > Internet Options and make sure that you are on the General tab

- Near the bottom of the box you see Tabs section. Click the Settings button in that section
- Then in the new box, check (about the 7th button down) the option Open home page for new tabs...
- Click OK > OK

Is Mozilla Firefox compatible with internet explorer?
Firefox is an alternative browser to IE. There is no compatibility between the two programs to worry about, only if the websites you browse are Firefox-compatible.
To utilize both, you can install Firefox and then install the 'Coral IE Tab' addon to use IE inside of Firefox's interface.

Where is the Back button in Firefox 3?
To get back the missing back button (don't know why they removed it!) go to View : Toolbars : Customize then drag the "Back Forward" buttons next to the refresh button.
There was NO reason for them to remove these buttons and NO reason for making it such a mystery how to fix it. Netscape messed up on this one.
Try the add-on FoxyProxy, it replaces the default Firefox proxy options and has more features. If that doesn't work, reinstall FireFox, and make sure that you are running the latest version of FireFox too!

Firefox has a bug in version 3.6.11, 3.6.12, 3.6.13+ This bug is a problem in SQLite and causes bookmarks to become unbearably slow when searching on some systems. - Search your bookmarks from the address bar
- Uninstall Firefox, then reinstall Firefox 3.6.10

How do you change backspace function in Firefox?
Open firefox and type 'about:config' into the address bar and press enter. In the search field type backspace, if you haven't done anything in firefox's config file (prefs.js) there should be a single integer value displayed. Right click and select Modify. Setting the value to 0 will set backspace to go back in your history 1 page. Setting it to 1 will cause the browser to scroll upwards when backspace is pressed. Setting it to any other value will cause the backspace will do nothing.

No, Internet Explorer (IE) was created by Microsoft, and Firefox was created by Mozilla. They are two different companies.
Unmaximise the window and move it to the monitor that it should be opening on. Don't maximise it here, just close it.
When you open it again, it will be on the correct monitor. Maximise it again, then close it.
From this point on, it will open on the correct monitor, even if you move it to the other monitor and maximise it there. Same "problem", only reversed. Since that's what you want it to do, it's not really a problem now. Still a biug though.
Should install anything with a toolbar?
Some things you can install with a toolbar that comes with it. Some things may contain a virus.
Like for example, the language bar on my computer is perfectly fine.
