How do you charge the battery on a Phillips mp3 player?

YOU PLUG IN2 COMPUTERRRRR GOD!!!YOU PLUG IN2 COMPUTERRRRR GOD!!! Try plugging the cable directly into the computer, and not into a hub, even if it is a powered hub. In my experience, the unit will not charge when plugged into a USB hub, even though it does connect.

MP3 is short for "MPEG Audio Layer 3". MPEG, in turn, is short for "Motion Picture Experts Group," the organization that invented the compression algorithm and defined the spec. How do you get through your Ipod touch that has been locked by a password?

If your iPod touch is locked by a 4-digit passcode, the only way to get past it is to force the unit into restore mode by doing the following:

1. Start iTunes and Plug the iPod touch in to your computer via the sync cable. This could be firewire and/or USB.

2. Hold the sleep/wake button(the button at the top) and the menu button(round button at the bottom) down at the same time. Keep them both pressed until you see the 'restore' screen (an iPod cable and an iTunes disc symbol) on the iPod touch. If the ipod turns off or shows the "Slide to power down", just wait and try again. It takes about 10 seconds. Once the restore screen shows, Release the buttons.

3. Windows should quickly "install driver software" for a few seconds. iTunes should now display the iPod touch, along with a message that the iPod touch is in recovery mode. Click the RESTORE button in iTunes to restore the iPod touch.

Please note that doing this will erase the contents of the iPod touch -- that's how the system is designed to work: a passcode lock is meant to protect the data on the iPod.

How do you download free songs on your ipod?

Okay there are two ways to download free songs onto your ipod.

1. (FOR #1 YOU MUST HAVE AN IPHONE) Okay, more recent iphones come with the app called "VoiceMemos." If you don't have it, you can get it for free at the app store. So, go to youtube and search for t'e song you want on your ipod. Use voicememos to record the audio. (make sure it is super quiet to get a good recording.) Once the song is finished, stop recording and listen to the recording to make sure it is loud enough, good quality, full, etc. Then, plug your iphone into your computer, and let it sync. Once it is done syncing, look in your library for something that looks like a date and a time. (e.g. 2/1/10, 4:49 PM) Then right click on it and press "Get Info." Then, click on the tab that says "info" and rename your song instead of a date and a time to its actual name. If you know them, you may also put in the artist, the album, the genre, etc. Press ok and you have a free song on your ipod!

2. Ok, i think everyone knows this one so don't be mad, but you can always just buy or borrow a CD and download onto itunes. That's a free download, right?

What was the first podcast?

The term "Podcast" were first used in 2004. Combining "iPod" and "Broadcasting". It did not require a iPod, any MP3 player could play the files. A "Podcast" is only Apple's word for "recorded radio shows", and basically anyone could publish one.

Does a CD still play after it is ripped to your computer library?

Yes, CD's are (normally) not 'erasable' - meaning that the music is still there after you copy it.

How do you view your call history with straight talk?

You cant. They are "not allowed." The only way you can get a number is if you have the request in a subpoena. And there is no way to view a statement of call history online. Customer service told me this. This is of course utterly ridiculous since every other cell phone company in the world allows you a call history for the last 90 days. This one, apparently does not.

How many songs can you put on an 8gb Sony Walkman?

What is out of phase for a speaker?

In general, speakers have two connections, and it is important to connect them the "same way" to the amplifier. (Amps also have pairs of output terminals.) We usually designate the terminals of the speaker as positive and negative. (Outputs of amps are usually designated the same way.) It is important to connecteach positive speaker terminal to the positive output of the amp for a given channel, and each negative speaker terminal to the negative output of the amp for a given channel. This way the speakers will be connected in phase. It is possible to reverse all of the connections and not have problems, but it is critical that speakers be connected in phase.

Speakers do not become out of phase or change phase. When they are constructed, their operation is fixed and will not vary during their lifetime. A given polarity of a wave, either positive- or negative-going, will always cause the speaker to move in the same given direction.

How do you transfer Music from Laptop to blank CD?

Assuming you are using iTunes:Insert the blank CD and open iTunes. You will see a popup. Dismiss it.

Next, create a playlist with the songs you want on the disk. You can do this by clicking File > New > Playlist or by pressing Ctrl + N, then dragging the songs you want into the playlist. (TIP: Hold Ctrl while clicking to select multiple items.)

Now right-click the playlist and click "Burn playlist to disc." A popup will show displaying various options. Select "MP3 Disc" if you want a high-capacity disc. The audio disc option will result in greater compatibility, but will not hold as many songs. (To find out if your player supports MP3 playback, consult its manual.) You may also add crossfading and set gapless playback options here.

When you're ready, press "Burn" to start the process.

What are gigabytes?

A gigabyte (GB) is a unit of computer memory or data storage capacity.

Officially, it is equal to 1,000 megabytes (MB), or 1,000,000,000 (109) bytes. This is the way it is used for hard drives, DVDs and other media, networking bandwidth, and by Mac OS X and Linux for disk and file sizes:

  • 1 bit = a single "zero or one" data state
  • 1 byte = 8 bits
  • 1 kilobyte = 1,000 bytes {kilo- = thousand}
  • 1 megabyte = 1,000,000 bytes {mega- = million}
  • 1 gigabyte = 1,000,000,000 bytes {giga- = billion}
  • 1 terabyte = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes {tera- = trillion}

Unofficially, the term "gigabyte" is often used as an approximation for a power of two: 230 bytes. This is more properly called a "gigabinary byte" or "gibibyte" (GiB), but people continue to use it incorrectly. In this usage, it is equal to 1,024 "mebibytes" or 1,073,741,824 bytes. This is commonly used by computer memory manufacturers and in Microsoft Windows for disk and file sizes:

  • 1 kibibyte (KiB) = 1,024 bytes {kibi- = kilobinary}
  • 1 mebibyte (MiB) = 1,024 × 1,024 bytes {mebi- = megabinary}
  • 1 gibibyte (GiB) = 1,024 × 1,024 × 1,024 bytes {gibi- = gigabinary}
  • 1 tebibyte (TiB) = 1,024 × 1,024 × 1,024 × 1,024 bytes {tebi- = terabinary}

A common urban legend is that hard drive manufacturers switched from measuring in multiples of 1024 to multiples of 1000 in order to inflate their specs. In fact, hard drives have always been measured in multiples of 1000, since they were first produced. For instance, the introduction of the 1974 Winchester HDD used "Mbyte" to mean 1,000,000 bytes.

It's only with increasing hard drives sizes that the difference between Microsoft's non-standard measurements and the manufacturer's standard measurements has become significant.

Using "GB" for 1,000,000,000 bytes and "GiB" for 1,073,741,824 bytes eliminates any such confusion.
Gigabyte is a term used to refer to an amount of storage on a computer hard disk or ram. It can also be a speed as well, for example your hard drive may transfer 1 gigabyte per second (which is extremely fast). A gigabyte is 1024 megabytes.
It defines 1 billion bytes. A byte being a single unit of computer code which itself contains 8 bits.

The term is generally used today to define computer memory, such as my computer has 8 gigabytes of RAM which is computer memory.

How do you turn on a mobiblu cube mp3?

You can charge it by using the USB charger (it has a 3.5mm plug on it like the headphones, but connects to your Cube and USB port on your computer.) If you do not have the charger that came with it, I suggest looking online for it. Google "MoblBlu Cube Charger" worked for me.

What causes CD player not to play?

the CD player has to be capable of recognizing mp3 format. most of them that do will say on the front of the radio. if its a factory CD player then it probably wont and only a few aftermarket ones will. your DVD player at home will probably do it.

AnswerA standard CD is recorded using .wav files while .mp3's are a different language. It's like knowing one language but not knowing another.
