Garlic and onions are both from the same bulb genus Allium. Garlic can be traced back some 7,000 years to the ancient Egyptians. Both are used in a variety of food dishes and such as lasagne, bolonagise and French Onion Soup. The onion is found in three different colours; Yellow, red and white, whilst garlic is a white creamy colour. Both are said to have health benefits to humans. Garlic having antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties whilst onions are thought to help with the common cold to heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, and other diseases.

Why do onions make people have tears?
From what I learned at school in food preparation, if you cut off the bottom part of the onion (where the root stems from), it releases a strong gas like substance which burns your eyes and/or makes you tear up.
I'm not 100% sure if that is accurate, but it's somewhat relevant.

I would cut them up first though. Then, put them in a zip loc bag and squeeze all of the air out before you seal it.
Take the advice of someone who has actually done this before, not the advice of someone who hasn't. I don't know who she's talking about when she says "they say it is not a good Idea to freeze veggies", but I have frozen vegetables myself, and I buy them frozen from the grocery store all the time. I have NEVER had any problems.

Assuming you mean leak, and not the vegetable leek, that depends on what the leak is and where it's located. It might be something which can be plugged, it might be as simple as tightening a connector, or it might require a component to be replaced. There's a lot in a car which can leak, and how to address it can't be told without narrowing down what the leak is.
