i saw a tv show where people were marrying their pets so it could be possible and if people are making fun of you just block them out. obviously they dont care that much about you if they dont respect your feelings so they're not worth it. good luck

* It is very normal to feel sad and depressed because you don't hear from someone you love. If you dated and he stopped dating you or you were going together on a steady basis and he broke up with you then you have good memories together that are hard to forget and you're going through a 'grieving process' much like a person would who has lost a loved one to death. On Valentine's Day, she most probably wants you to do something special for her that really shows that you care. Something simple or personal could be the perfect gift for your girl friend, such as writing her a letter or doing something to remember one of your "first"s. Whatever you do, as long as you make her feel loved and wanted, she's sure to be happy.
If you have been dating your girlfriend long then the stakes of Valentine's Day will be different than if you met last week. I am going to assume that you have been dating awhile. Do you guys have a hidden secret or something only you two know about? Like do you both secretly love to watch blue's clues together? If you have something like that than maybe you should buy her a Blue stuff animal or rent a lot of Blue's Clues episodes and spend the night doing that. Or if she has a hobby she loves to do and your not interested than maybe it is the day to do it just to make her happy. Also if she loves a specific animal or food why don't you go out and buy it for her. The thing is that you know your girlfriend better than anyone else, so treat her special don't make her feel like she is just some girl on Valentine's day. good luck
