What I've read/been told is that if you get a positive close to your period there is a chance you could be pregnant. An OPK reads lh and hcg. I guess you could call them twins. An OPK can pick up lh and hcg, but because hcg has an extra special part of it, only a hpt can pick up hcg. Make sense?
