Dear Swelling,
I am not a nurse nor a doctor but I have taken several medical classes. According to my education, when the menstrual cycle approaches and occurs the body is retaining excessive amounts of fluid (hence the reason for many PMS pills that control water weight gain and bloating)it is almost like the body is dehydrated and holds excess fluid to compensate. So this is definitely a normal side affect but the extent of your problem may question the issue of seeing your physician.

Why does Oxycontin cause epilepsy?
It can affect the brain, and anything that disrupts the working of the brain can cause seizures. Having seizures is only a possible side effect and so it does not happen to everyone. If someone already gets seizures they are not meant to take oxycontin. Epilepsy is classified as a tendency to have recurring seizures. So even if someone took oxycontin and had one seizure, they would not be diagnosed as having epilepsy. Anyone can have a seizure in their lifetime at some point, but it is only people that have lots of them that are diagnosed as having epilepsy. So if taking oxycontin caused someone to have a seizure and then they never had one again, they would not have epilepsy and so saying that oxycontin can cause epilepsy is not really accurate. It is more accurate to say that it can cause seizures.
Does Oxycontin affect deep rem sleep?
Yes. Oxycodone (OxyContin is nothing but slow release oxycodone) has been shown to prolong sleep stages 3 & 4, similar to alcohol, meaning that to get the same amount of "deep sleep" while medicated as you would not under the influence, you'd have to sleep for a longer period of time. This can pose a problem as well, since a large number of those who use oxycodone have trouble staying asleep for long periods of time.

OxyContin, an opioid pain medication, can lead to the depletion of certain nutrients and vitamins in the body, particularly B vitamins and magnesium. Chronic use may also affect the digestive system, leading to issues like constipation, which can hinder nutrient absorption. It's generally advisable to consult a healthcare professional before mixing any medications, especially during detox from OxyContin. Tylenol PM contains acetaminophen and diphenhydramine, which can have sedative effects, but they may also interact with withdrawal symptoms or other medications being taken. Additionally, using sedatives or sleep aids during detox can potentially mask symptoms or complicate the recovery process. Always prioritize safety and professional guidance in such situations.

Is 4mg of Dilaudid equal to 40mg of Oxycontin?
80 mg Oxycontin is by far stronger than 10mg of vicodin(hydrocodone). I am not sure the exact times stronger but I had almost like a foot reconstruction surgery and took 10/650 vicodin and the 650 is 650mg of Tylenol and it barely touched the pain and then was given a 80mg of Oxycontin and it took away my pain for about 4-5 hours, but the point is 80 mg of Oxycontin is way stronger than 10mg of vicodin.
Does the 40mg Oxycontin have the time release on it?
The coating is resistant to digestion. It dissolves a little at a time allowing the meds to release slowly

I am telling the truth this happened in July its already Jan why would i bring this up if im still trying to figure out how it happen. they also said it could have been morphine
this is from drugs.com: Buprenorphine is an opioid medication. Buprenorphine is similar to other opioids such as morphine, codeine, and heroin however, it produces less euphoric ("high") effects and therefore may be easier to stop taking.......
Naloxone blocks the effects of opioids such as morphine, codeine, and heroin. If Suboxone is injected, naloxone will block the effects of buprenorphine and lead to withdrawal symptoms in a person with an opioid addiction. When administered under the tongue as directed, naloxone will not affect the actions of buprenorphine.
I just don't understand and it still bothers me to this date. 6 months later may i add
they said i had a very low level in my system. i told them to retest it and they said they do when it usually has a positive result. I was on house arrest when this happened i am so lucky that they believed me. i think they could tell that i was telling the truth. I read on some sites that it make cause a false positive depending on who is doing the gcms test
Edit**Hey it happened to me too dude at outpatient...luckily it wasnt my freedom on the line or the law after my ass...however looking that guilty when you are doing so well is a major bummer. Sometimes its just a fluke though and the counselor said that as long as its a fairly low level they know you are not using. Only over a certain level in your urine do they get really suspicious usually.
I know that the original Oxycontin does have time release but I am not sure about any of the generic brands. The time release on Oxycontin can be removed by peeling off the outer color (that is the time release)
Oxycontin (generic and name brand) is time released (the 'contin' in Oxycontin stands for continuous) but there are brands availabe without the time release coating. The only one I'm aware of is Roxicodone, which is 15mg of oxycodone and is fast-acting, due to the lack of the time release coating. Roxicodone is normally prescribed for breakthrough pain. But yes, Oxycontin the time release feature only works if the coating is not peeled off, or if the pill is cut in half or quarters. That's the only way to get all the medication of an Oxy out at once. But unless you're opiate-tolerant (meaning you have taken Oxycontin every day for several months straight), I wouldn't recommend it. Trust me, when I tried a 20mg Oxycontin for the first time with the time release still on it, it worked wonders. *sigh* I miss those days. Never abuse Oxy, you will regret it! It never feels the same after you abuse it for years, even if you go a week without any!
A suppository is a type of medicine that is inserted into the rectum, to clean out the bowels. Suppositories can be used prior to abdominal surgery or to relieve constipation.
You used Oxycontin once how long to pass drug test?
give it 4 days for minor use. 1 week just to be sure, heavier use takes a lot longer. Normaly you are looking at 2-4 days to clean opiates out of your body for a urine test.
There are many other medications that are considered opiod antagonist's , Dilaudid/Hydromorphone , Morphine, Demerol/Meperidine, Hydrocodone/Vicodin, Fentanyl/Duragesic, Methadone there's quite a few options, good luck.
Does Oxycontin filler build up in your lungs if you snort it?
Well first you suck off the coating. Then you snort it. Why would it enter your lungs? Your not inhaling it, you snorting it up your nose. If you smoked it, then it would go into your lungs.
