Can you use KIlz one coat paint over wallpaper that has a slick border in it?
You can paint over wall paper. However it is recommended that you prime with an oil based primer. Kilz Original for example. Most wall papers use water based glues for adhesion. If you put a waterbased topcoat over the the wallpaper it could penetrate the wall paper and cause the glue to release. You can use a waterbased top coat such as Kilz Casual Colors over the top of the oil based primer.

Do you need to sand between coats of water based gloss?
Great question! As it is not a requirement to sand between coats when painting, to ensure the best possible finish and leave your customer happy, I would most definitely recommend it. A light sand using 220 sand paper will give you good adhesion on your top coat of gloss as well as knock down any dust or debris that has made its way into your finish. Remember only a light sanding is needed, so don't go making a mess, and always make sure you use a damp cloth to wipe up all of the sanding dust. Good luck, and Happy Painting.
Do you have to sand and prime latex paint to paint over with water base paint?
I use a product called TSP. I wash the walls really good and then If any chips or dents I sand down that area, If they are a dark color you might want to seal it with a sealer so you don't have to use as much paint to hide the color, but for the most part you do not have to prime of they are in good shape

What is the difference between lacquer and paint thinner?
Lacquer thinner evaporates quicker. It is cleaner or leaves less of a film than paint thinner. Lacquer thinner will thin most solvent based paint but paint thinner shouldn't be used to thin Lacquer. Lacquer dries from the surface painted out and enammal dries from the surface of the paint down to the surface painted. Using the wrong thinner affects how the paint dries and may affect the final finish.

What do you use to paint aluminum doors?
Maybe this will help. Although, I'm not sure where to buy the products mentioned: Proper pretreatment for aluminum castings and extrusions takes place in at least a 5 stage pretreatment system. The system would consist of the following stages: * stage 1: Alkaline cleaner (aluminum-safe, or mild etch) * Stage 2: Fresh Water rinse * Stage 3: Iron Phosphate solution containing fluoride * Stage 4: Fresh Water Rinse (Recirc DI Optional) * Stage 5: Fresh Water Rinse (Virgin DI optional) Choice of cleaner depends on alloy and soils to be removed. The fluoride is the key. It etches the aluminum surface to provide for good paint adhesion. Reduce the stages and you reduce the chances for success. Answer:Aluminium can also be simply bead-blasted or sanded using an orbital sander and 120grit until bright, then with as little delay as possible, primed with epoxy acid etch primer, followed by a high build epoxy primer. An alternative is to use an epoxy primer containing zinc chromate directly on the aluminium.
Does spray paint adhere to electric tape?
Yes and no. Depends on the brand. I have used electrical tape as a paint mask on several metal projects. Hard acrylic paints usually crack and peal when I take it off. More flexable paints designed to paint plastics usually crack but still hold onto the tape. (If you are looking to use painted tape to add various colors to something you would do better to buy the tape in your desired color. It does come in more colors than just black.) If the tape isn't going to be moved after painting any paint that sayes it will work on plastic should be fine.

A gallon of paint will cover approx 350 square feet. So, it should take a bit more than eleven and a half gallons. If you purchase the paint by five gallon pail, you'll save some enbulk, and you'll have left-overs for touch up.
This will give you enough paint to paint either the ceiling of the floors since the 4064 is FLOOR area. If you want to figure the amount of paint needed to paint the walls on the inside or out, then you'll need to add up the square footage of the walls, divide THAT total by 350, then multiply times the number of coats you're going to apply. Add eleven and a half gallons to that total if you also want to paint the ceiling.
