You might have an hairline fracture and need to see a doctor. If it is swollen from a fall or a hit in the face area then give it at least two weeks. Take it easy. If No fractures, you will probably see the swelling go down some every day easily until the swelling disappears. Then your real beauty might return earlier than expected. Have a good calm day!

It is advisable however, to give with a small amount of food to prevent stomach upset. Most importantly though, keep in mind amoxicillin is a penicillin drug, and if your child has never taken any of the penicillin drugs, s/he needs to be monitored very closely after taking this med to be sure there are no allergic reactions, which can be fatal if not treated in time. Some of the signs to to watch for are rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, tongue and throat. If you see ANY of these signs, call 911 or take your child to the nearest emergency room immediately.

Yes. Any abnormal temperature in a baby (even 10 months old) deserves worry. At 101.3 a baby aspirin may take care of it, but you need to watch the child closely. Something is causing that fever and it may or may not subside with an aspirin. If finances are an extreme problem, you could give the child a cool (not cold or ice) bath if the aspirin doesn't work (or in addition to the aspirin) but watch the child closely and you may have to take it to the hosp. or emergency room if it doesn't come down and stay down. This skin infection is caused by a bacterium called Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which likes to live in warm water. The rash is red, bumpy, and itchy. Tiny, pus-filled blisters may form, but it usually gets better on its own. * Overheating. Sitting in a too-hot hot tub, or in any hot bath for too long a time, can raise your body temperature and make you feel weak and dizzy. You may lose your balance or even pass out when you try to stand. In extreme cases, overheating can be fatal. * Hot tub lung. This lung infection is a rare problem, but it can happen. A tiny organism called Mycobacterium avium can live in the water and be released into the air when whirlpool bubbles burst. If it infects the lungs, it can cause shortness of breath, fever, and cough. If you've chosen to be extra-careful during your pregnancy, you may want to avoid hot tubs for the reasons listed above. But even if you're comfortable risking a skin rash or an unusual infection, during pregnancy hot tub use may not be a good idea
