The Philippines is less developed than otter countries because the last president is corrupt and they are hoping for a new government that will improve their country

The majority of government funding in the Philippines comes from taxes. These taxes are national and local and include income, percentage, inheritance, value added, miscellaneous, and more. The government is also trying to borrow money from other places to develop the country further.

The Philippine Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2008 slowed down to 4.6 percent from 7.1 percent in the same period last year.

The Gross National Product (GNP) grew by only 6.5 percent compared to 9.1 percent growth experienced in the third quarter of 2007.

The Basic Problems Of An Economy are:

1) What to produce

2) How to produce

3) For whom to produce

Some other basic problems:

1) problem of efficient or fuller utilization of resources

2) problem of growth of resources

3) Problem of economic growth

The west is economically gifted by nature and most countries of the world are not economically gifted, the world's social problem is financially related and economies alone cannot solve the world's financial problems. What is the job of the world bank and IMF? Pride is basically the main problem of the world and we should all humble ourselves at all times as the God of the universe has with held the solution to the world's overall problems. The world is long overdue for a single global currency which will serve as the world's reserve currency under a new world financial institution or if the world bank and IMF are ready to turn their services to the world then the single currency will serve with the true bank to solve all financial problems all over the world.................there is no other way out.........

As of 2014, the Philippines is experiencing a growing economy, however, poverty and unemployment remain important problems. Corruption among some government officials, such as police officers, is another challenge the country is dealing with.

Of course, if you are in a country which only accepts PHPs, and you want to buy something, and you have both PHPs and dollars, and you are unable to exchange the dollars anywhere, then your PHPs would be of more value to you than your dollars.

The contribution of entrepreneurship in the Philippines economy is impressive. There is a high demand for entrepreneurs in the Philippines. There were over 830,000 entrepreneurs in the Philippines in 2011.

The Philippines has no Department of Housing. What it has is the National Housing Authority, but this office is not headed by a cabinet secretary.There is also the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, which has Vice President Jejomar C. Binay as Chairman.

There are several economic problems our country encountered.But the first is corruption, poverty and unemployment and the most problem is misorganization of the government...philippines encounter these problems not only because of the ruler or the government handlers who manage and handle the allabouts of our country, but these problems are done by all...

Some of the influences to the Filipinos from the Americans were :

-food = steak, burgers , fried chicken , hotdog, etc.

-religion = Baptists, and methodists

-transportation= cars , bikes , skooters, trains, airplanes, etc.

-education= schooling

-independance and liberty

-manu facturing of plant producing fabric, tobacco , and ciggarettes

- language= grammar, litreture, and ENGLISH

-music= jazz, blues, rock , and pop

Poverty incidence among Filipino families increased from 24.4 percent in 2003 to 26.9 percent in 2006. Poverty incidence refers to the proportion of families or individuals with per capita income less than the per capita poverty threshold to the total number of families or individuals.

Aside from our National heroes like Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Emilio Aguinaldo, Jose P. Laurel; Mr. Romualdo Gripaldo is one of the modern Filipino philosophers.

Some agricultural problems in the Philippines are:

1. Agricultural Lands are converted into golf course, residential subdivisions, industrial parks, etc..

2. Environmental damages: Coral reef destruction, pollution of coastal and marine resources, mangrove forest destruction, etc.

3. Pests: Nematodes, Radopholus similies, meloidogyne etc.

In a statement, Monterona added the latest SWS survey on unemployment is a "slap on the face of Pres.Benigno Aquino III and his labor honchos who stated that it will stop sending Filipino workers abroad."

"The reality is, the government will continue to do so and even intensify its labor export program by exploring labor markets abroad, no difference from the previous administrations," Monterona averred.

About 4,200 Filipinos are leaving the country daily for work or looking for jobs abroad compared to the 3,200 two years ago, according to Monterona.

"With the worsening unemployment problem, the number of Filipinos forced to leave the country for overseasjob will increase to around three to 5 percent from the current base figure of 4,200 daily in two to 3 year time."

The group also slammed the country's labor department, saying, "The DoLE would make us believe that the unemployment problem is due to 'job mismatch'. The fact is the Aquino administration performs poorly in generating local jobs with decent pay and benefits primarily due to anti-labor policies such as labor-contracting only, among others."
