What is the distance between planet earth and planet Kepler?

There is no planet Kepler. Designations such as Kepler-69c are given to planets discovered by the Kepler spacecraft. This spacecraft has discovered planets ranging from 100 to 7,000 light years away.

Why does Jupiter give off more energy than it gets from the sun?

First of all, Jupiter, even though it is massive, gets almost no light from the Sun. It is more than 5 times from the Sun than the distance from the Earth to the Sun; that means the sunlight is much more spread out and Jupiter gets much less of it.

Second of all, since Jupiter is SO massive, it actually exerts some energy because of its internal pressure.

What are Jupiter big satellites?

Jupiter's 4 major moons, known as the Galilean satellites, are named Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Io is an orange moon with an abundance of volcanic activity most likely caused by Jupiter's magnetic field. Europa is a cold, frozen ice moon and is also the smallest of the four. Ganymede is the largest and also is thought to have oceans. Callisto is the outermost moon (of the 4) and is covered with craters.

Why are the atmosphere temperatire pf Jupiter and Saturn so cold?

I assume the atmospheres further away from the sun than the earth would be cooler even if they do have cloud cover to hold heat nearer the surface and possible/probable volcanic activity. Atmospheric composition should also contribute to a less warm atmosphere.

What spacecraft has been to Callisto?

The Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11 probes (early 1970s) were carried out a flyby of Jupiter and in doing so contributed only a small amount to what was known about Callisto from Earth-based observations. The Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 flybys in 1979 provided detailed images of Callisto's surface and also measured its temperature, mass and shape. The Galileo spacecraft made several close passes over the moon, with one 2001 going down as close as 138 km from Callisto's surface. In 2001, the Cassini spacecraft, on its way to Saturn, took some infra-red images of Callisto. Most recently, the New Horizons probe, on its way to Pluto collected images of Callisto.

Is earth the closest planet to Jupiter?

No. Generally speaking, Venus is the closest planet to Earth. The actual distance that Venus is from Earth varies, depending on where it is during its orbit around the sun relative to that of Earth. When Venus and Earth are on the same side of the sun, they are 38.2x106km apart; when they are on opposite sides of the sun, they are 261.0x106km apart.

Mars is the second planet closest to Earth. However, if Venus is on the opposite side of the sun, Mars could temporary be closest to Earth. Mars's distance from Earth varies, from 55.7x106km when they are both at the same side of the sun, to 401.3x106km, when they are on opposite sides of the sun.

Is Saturn has large cyclonic Storm similar to Jupiter's great red spot?

Yes, Saturn has huge storms. However, at the moment, none of them are quite as large as Jupiter's Great Red Spot.

How far from Earth is Jupiter?

1st, you need to know how far Jupiter is from the sun. 2nd, you know. Answer: it varies.

Why are Jupiter and Saturn called giant planets?

They are both much larger than any of the other planets in our Solar System.

How many ten year olds standing on each others sholders would it take to to reach the top of the angel of the north?

The Angel of the North in England stands at 66 feet tall. The average height of a ten-year-old is around 4.5 feet. Simple division (66 feet / 4.5 feet) tells us it would take approximately 14 ten-year-olds standing on each other's shoulders to reach the top of the Angel of the North.

Hug storm of Jupiter?

It's commonly called the 'great red spot'. It's apparently a huge storm - that's been raging for centuries !

Why Jupiter is no longer a planet?

Jupiter's planetary status has never and most likely never will be questioned. As of the this answering, Jupiter is a planet.

What could a noxious chemical odor coming from a turned-off convector AC heat unit be if it's not natural gas but smells like the self-cleaning oven smell?

Hi: Wow,,,, this question kinda leaves me hangin on details I need , But! ( it is a bonefide good one ) and I think it deserves at least an attempt on my part ( even though ) I am bit uneasy because of the lack of details I have been presented. Answer simplified,,,, it's probably a step down control transformer or pull in coil of some sort. They give off a really pungit chemical odor when partially shorted or overloaded. Another possibility is,,, A run capacitor or start capacitor on a fan motor or such. And yet another possiblility is, some modification that has been made through either a clean up process or repair or paint and or lubrication that has gone awry. You should have a real pro. come and check this baby out my friend. It's probably not that big of a deal and a good honest service tech. with good test equipment and skills can probably put your concerns at ease really quick! Don't USE it till you KNOW though. Hope this helps you out: Jimiwane
