There is no "governor screw" on a doodlebug. There is a throttle stop screw. If you look at the side of the carburetor you will see a small screw with a spring around it, back that out until the throttle lever no longer touches it when the throttle twisted grip is at full throttle. That won't give very much of an improvement though, because the real governor is still working. To bypass the governor, which limits the maximum revs of the engine you need to go one stage further (which will almost double the top speed of the bike). When you turn the throttle you will see that the cable pulls on a small lever behind the carburetor. If you raise the rear wheel of the ground (so that you can rev the bike without it moving forwards) you will see that when the engine reaches roughly 3600rpm the governor engages. You will see that there is an arm connected to a shaft that comes out of the front engine casing just below the carburettor. That is the governor. That is directly connected to the carb with a long thin steel rod. When the engine reaches 3600rpm that rod closes the butterfly on the carb, restricting the maximum revs to 3600rpm. You need to bypass this mechanism. Attach the governor arm to the throttle arm with a zip tie. This will stop the governor arm from engaging. The engine will rev to about 5300rpm (it's natural limit) instead of 3600rpm. You will see a corresponding increase in your top speed. If you search youtube you can find a video of someone doing it to a mini Baja 6.5hp. Although the engine is a slightly different design, the governor works in exactly the same way. On the Doodle bug the governor arm and throttle arm are located vertically on the front of the engine, on the Baja Warrior/Heat/MB200 it is horizontal, but it works in exactly the same way. Search for Baja Warrior Mini Bike Easy Governor Bypass. There are several different videos showing how to do it, from using a piece of wire to using a zip tie to using a fishing line to do it. They all do the same thing though. They are all for Baja Heat/Warrior/MB200, but as I said, they all work for the Doodle Bug too.

to convince your parents, you have to show them how interesting and fun a pocket bike can be. don't just say, "mom, why not! its so much fun!" go to her and explain how everything on it works, how good quality the engines are and any other thing you can think of to get her into it. do the same with your dad. show them videos, races and try to get them interested in it. lastly, don't just say,"mom, its so safe!" say to her things like, it has great grip tires for better traction and has an automatic kill switch to turn it off in case of an emergency. if you follow what this says, you will have a pocket bike in no time.

yes you can but you have to have a chauffeurs chauffeur's or operator's license but if you don't have these and you are 15 years of age you may apply for a moped license at secretary of state branch office.... BUT THIS IS IN MICHIGAN i don't know about any other state.

There is a Left Hand Lever on the handlebars whick you can pull. That pulls on the clutch which allows you to change gears by kicking up a small lever a little bit forward on the left foot peg. To start off, you hold down the clutch lever, kick up the foot peg lever to 1st gear, slowly give it a little gas by twisted the throttle just a little bit, and then slowsly let go of the clutch hand lever. While riding, when you need to change gears, just hold down the hand lever, kick up to the next gear, and then you can let go of the hand lever. Hope this helps.

What's does the fuel valve do on a 49cc dirt bike

They are dangerous to drive on the road, but not on private property, around the block or in a parking lot. They do not have the power for the road, nor the proper lighting or size. but are mostlly safe

Remove the Carb from the back of the engine usually the Air filter is placed to it,

then make sure fuel line is turned off and no fuel left in the carb by un screwing the small screw on it. then un do the 4 bolts with an Allen key size 4 or 5 some differ,

then undo the throttle cable and any other cables to it.

to Derestrict the mini moto undo the tread on the carb and any other threads then u come to a very brittle bronze pin- Becareful with this dnt brake it, take the split link off from around the bronze pin dnt snap it, the drop it dwn one place from where it wasthere are about 4 notches on the bronze pin put it on the 3rd one it should already be on the second this will give short accleration but hugher top end,
