Does fish oil affect blood clotting?
If it did people would not have heart attacks, people would buy it by the gallon. There is no proven evidence that it does.
When lakes are polluted by acid rain the water appears to become clearer not cloudier why?
I think that happens because acid is powerful enough to disingrate the minerals in the water creating a thinner liquid.
Sorry if this isn't what you are looking for but this is all I know.

How air pollution causes danger to living organisms?
Air pollution is the introduction of harsh and harmful substances into the air. When these harsh chemicals, particle matter, and materials are released into the air it causes many problems. It is very bad for the lungs, can damage reproductive-systems, and can cause death to animals. This shows the real dangers of air pollution. If we can barely breath, can't reproduce or have animals our enviroment will be thrown into utter confusion.
Is air pollution a heterogeneous solution?
Yes; air pollution is heterogeneous. Heterogeneous mixtures contain substances that are in different physical states. As well as poisonous gases such as SO2, polluted air contains particulates, such as soot from vehicle exhausts and dust from industries such as quarrying.
Answer:
Gaseous released into air eventually become diluted against the entire mass of air. At that time the concentration of these other gases would be too low to describe as pollution. At that time it would be heterogeneous.
When initially released air contaminants form a plume of higher concentrations which dissipates with distance travelled, mixing with the turbulence of the air, and the chemical half-life of the components. This non heterogeneous nature of air contaminants is the basis of many dispersion modelling programs available to environmental engineers.
Does water pollution cause cancer?
Yes water pollution can cause cancer because of all the toxics that in the water which is making it dangerous to drink. Thats why its important to clean out and and stop polluting so much.
What are the causes of water pollution in Subic?
Pollution of water in Subic bay is mainly caused by poor wastage disposal. Sewerage and other toxic wastes are allowed to make their way into the water.
How can air pollution cause emphysema?
The dust particles comes from air pollution and the concentration of carbondioxide is higher in it...so,when they enter in human body it start the destruction of the walls of alveoli...and the low concentration of oxygen disturb the gaseous exchange between alveoli and the capillries... By this exhalation process can't be done..In sever cases it can cause death...
How does nuclear power harm fish?
The greatest harm to fish from nuclear power, in terms of the numbers of fish killed so far, has been due to thermal pollution. The nuclear power produced at plants is only about 35% turned into electrical power. The remainder is called waste heat. When rivers, lakes, or the sea are heated up, it can kill fish. In some cases this has a profound effect on the species in the water.
Nuclear power plants have lost radioactive materials into large bodies of water, harming sea and land life. Possibly the worst such event involved loss of material from the Sellafield plant in the U. K. into the Irish Sea.
The pollution source can add diseases.. etc
How does does oil pollute the earth?
Oil comes from underground. When it is extracted, it needs to be stored/contained in a crude state or refined state. Two sources of pollution come to mind -- (a) oil spill and (b) incomplete combustion/green house effects when burned.
Unintended oil spills result in the slick/gooey liquid covering the ground during handling or the water when the oil is transported over water. Oil seeping into soil will harm plants by choking off nutrients, and human when it contaminates the water underground. Oil spills in water will harm sea lives by choking off oxygen and digestive systems Birds who are in contact with the spilled oil can be harmed the same way.
Incomplete combustion of oil causes toxic fumes which contaminate the air that we breathe. Even when oil is burned efficiently, CO2 emission can still cause green house effects -- raising the earth's surface temperature (global warming).
Oil spills can be contained/localized (minimizing harmful effects) or neutralized (use of absorbent material or bacteria.) However, still, it takes resources (time and energy) to clean up. The environment is still not quite the same afterward, like drying spilled coffee on a piece of white paper -- the piece is still wrinkled and brownish after cleaning.

What does it mean to rid the environment of harmful pollutants?
"To rid the environment of harmful pollutants" means to clean the environment by removing or getting rid of harmful pollutants. A pollutant is anything that contaminates, or dirties the air, land or water of the earth.
"Harmful pollutants" could mean anything from chemicals released into the air by, for example, burning coal (mercury, selenium, arsenic, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides). These affect human health directly as well as indirectly through acid rain and global warming.
"Harmful pollutants" could mean the fly ash, bottom ash, flue-gas desulfurization sludge that remain after the burning of coal. All these remnants contain mercury, uranium, thorium, arsenic, and other heavy metals, all dangerous to human health.
Is air pollution a cause or a trigger of asthma?
Neither actually it is not a cause of asthma nor does air pollution trigger it.
How does technology affect your environment and the society?
Here are the beginings of a list: * Modern technology typically uses non-renewable energy in some form (electricity, fuel, etc). Since these resources are limited, and the production and distribution of such energy is harmful to the environment in the general case, technology itself damages the environment, therefore. * Modern technology typically uses harmful processes in production, for example, highly toxic and acidry processes are involved in the making of computer chips, etc. * Modern technology typically has a finite lifetime, leaving behind toxic waste, slowly degrading plastics, etc. * Technology in general changes the environment. Rarely for the better, and often for the worse, thus damaging the environment. This includes the building of river dams, the straightening of rivers, or simply the building of roads.
How can runoff on a mountain end up in the ocean?
the snow falls off the mountain and falls onto the ocean
How does industrial pollution creates other types of pollution?
For example the industrial snow. It is a product of wet air near different chimneys when inversion occurs.
How is pollution carried and spread?
pollution can be in the air and go into the clouds and when it rains the pollution comes down with the rain. I'm pretty sure that's right...
Does water cause DHMO to be unstable?
It's simple. Water = DHMO. DHMO (dihydrogen monoxide) is just a scientific way of saying water.
it's water hi megnut
------------------------------------------------------
DHMO cause people to die or get disease. It's every where in the earth. It's a chemical compound which has to be destroyed so the population of earth doesn't decrease.
NPDES is an acronym for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System.
This is a federal program (generally administered by individual states) that controls water pollution by regulating point sources that discharge pollutants into U.S. waters. Groundwater, construction dewatering water and other sources are discharged to the storm drain under this program.
